I was surprised when I received this replacement guard, because it was for a considerably bulkier one. I followed the instructions- except I used boiling water in a bowl instead of a microwave to soften the guard- and the end result is great. The slimmer guard clips in just as firmly as the old one and is so much more comfortable!
Making a night guard with the Oral B kit is waaaaayyyy better than having a dentist make one. The dentist uses a tray of gloppy stuff 😬 that makes the patient think he/she is going to choke! This night guard is made in the microwave in just a few minutes. Protect your teeth the more comfortable way 😊
Left my dentist made mouth guard at home while visiting family. I was away for 10 days. Bought this once I arrived because I grind my teeth. It does the job but is not the same. The mouth guard is smaller and thinner. I recommend this if you're looking for a cheap alternative to a dentist quality product or in my case left behind.
I like this dental guard. it cushions my teeth to relieve pain from grinding my teeth. The guard is fitted to upper teeth. My only problem is gagging. I have no gagging when I'm sitting up. When I lie down to sleep, I gag %26 have to remove the guard. I need a guard I can wear during sleep to reduce pain of grinding teeth from stress.
Too expensive for what it is... I found that the insyructions were very easy to follow. However, the shaping process to fit the guard to my mouth didn't work out so well. There's no redoing it if things go a wry. I had to toss the end product because it didnt fit comfortably in my mouth. $20 is way too much for a simple mouth guard. I'm going to purchase a multipack for less money and larger guards to fit the mouth better. Just because it's a name brand doesn't mean its worth $20 bucks of hard earned cash. I used to be able to get a mouth guard for under $10 bucks. I need them to help me not clench my teeth while sleeping due to PTSD. I have to replace guards often. Unfortunately this one wasnt big enough to form to my mouth and left some of my teeth unprotected. No amount of shaping would fix it. Just too small and too costly. I'm disappointed and do not recommend this product.
Expensive, only covers front teeth, no bottom half; very hard to pry out of mold, even after freezing (per the instructions). If you buy this, also be careful not to bite down too far during fitting, or else you end up with a thin night guard that's easy to tear.
This is the nightguard Ive been using for about 8 years. I always try others in between but come back to this one- that being said it's not ideal, its just the one Ive learned to mold properly, and learned to handle tray removal (the green trays can stick something awful.) The past few years they've gotten lower in quality, no more Scope flavor, fine, but thinner, and cover even less of my back teeth, which now can touch due to jaw misalignment. It's really not rhe best, but it's the most tolerable for me still, for now.
Absolutely horrible product, I tried to mold it and had to try again since the first time didn't come out good; needless to say my teeth went right into the same exact spot as the first time. So, couldn't even use it! Right in the trash they went! Worst $20 I have ever invested!! Also, had a very hard time getting the night guard off the tray! I tried every single way the directions told me! I read the directions several times before trying it AND even during the process!
when the instruction says if it sticks, they know its going to stick in molding case, it was stuck even putting it in freezer as instructed. Also doesn't fit well enough for me to take a change of it dislodging and down my throat while asleep. So no, waste of money.
This product was a substitution from a cheaper brand I ordered. The directions were clear and easy to understand, but taking it out of the green mold was nearly impossible. I had to reheat the mold because it would not stick the first time. By the time I pried it out of the green tray, it was warped and would no longer fit to my teeth.
