Orbit 18" 9-Pattern Wand - Green

I have had a similar watering wand with this simple design for many years: just a one-piece crooked tube with an adjustable spray pattern head and shutoff valve to control water pressure. That original watering wand has been used many years, year round, and it has never sprung a leak like all of our other watering wands have, especially when exposed to freezing temperatures. I think the simple design hasn't sprung leaks because it doesn't have extra joints that can crack in freezing temperatures. Recently, that shutoff did break off on that original wand, but it was easy to fix by just replacing the shutoff valve. I decided to look for more watering wands with the same simple design, and I was happy to find these two at a reasonable price. I'm optimistic they will also last for many years, even if exposed to freezing temperatures.

I like the size. Long enough to reach but not too long to be cumbersome. Light weight

The unit turn off valve is now plastic instead of brass (as was shown in photo). Also, it listed “Flood” as one of the settings which it did not come with. Instead it came with “Full,” which is very different. Flood is like a bubbler whereas Full is like a bigger jet. I happened to have my old (broken) wand so I substituted the cap so now I have flood again which I really need.

Turned on hose and it fell apart. It is a piece of crap. Sorry
