Orbit, Peppermint, Count 12 (14S) - Gum / Grab Varieties & Flavors

I received the Orbit Gum as a free sample from Pinchme.com in exchange for my honest opinion and I absolutely loved it. I had gone to dinner and ate a garlic dish and I felt confident that after chewing the gum I had fresh breath to go on about my day until I got home to finally brush my teeth. It is my favorite gum and if the store is out of it, I will go to another store to buy it rather than get a different brand. I typically stick with spearmint or sweet mint because peppermint flavors don't always taste that good to me. I am so glad I decided to get the peppermint one because it is my new favorite flavor. I am a mom of 2 wrestlers (one college and one modified) and I need to chew gum as a way to stay calm and alleviate some of my anxiety. I don't know what I would do without it, which is one reason I buy the big packs (this one was a 15 pack with14 sticks in each pack) Orbit Peppermint makes my breath feel fresh and doesn't stick to my teeth and the flavor lasts a long time.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love that I can purchase my favorite Orbit peppermint gum in a multipack. The Orbit peppermint gum doesn't even taste like a sugar free gum. It is sweet and holds its flavor for quite some time unlike some of the other super free gums.

It had such a refreshing taste, almost like a pick me up. The peppermint flavor was long lasting and I felt it kept my breath fresher than any other brands. I would definitely purchase this again.

This is a great, minty gum. The taste is sweet without being saccharine, and doesn't taste like it's sugar free. The peppermint is the perfect amount of flavor without being overpowering. Some gums get rubbery, but I chewed Orbit Peppermint Sugarfree gum until I was done without getting that super-chewy wad. The flavor also lasts a long time. My only suggestions are to make the pieces just a bit bigger, and to improve packaging. If you're not careful, the gum empties out of the packaging very easily. I have IBS, and peppermint calms my stomach. Normally I do not chew gum, but my dentist had it, so I decided to try it. The peppermint tasted like peppermint - fancy that. But it seems that it doesn't contain a lick of peppermint oil. Plus it contains artificial sweeteners, which also (normally) mess up my stomach. I didn't have any adverse effects from chewing this, but I'm going to have to steer clear of this product for the reasons I've mentioned. I rate it four stars because it tastes very good, and does seems to last long without getting too rubbery.

The gum tastes great, and has lasting flavor. However, after I open the package, the unwrapped gum becomes mushy and oily. This happens after a few days once the package is open. I end up having to throw the rest away...its just too gross to try and chew.

I don't understand why the amount of xylitol or other stomach ache inducing substances seems to vary from one pack to the next. I can normally chew Orbit Peppermint, but occasionally get a pack that instantly tears me up. I bought a multipack and all of them are causing upset. Throwing the whole thing away. Is there a manufacturing problem?
