Oreck Commercial Bagged Upright Vacuum Cleaner, LEED-Compliant, Lightweight, Dual Speeds, Extended Reach, U2000RB2L-1, Gray

I just purchased this vacuum about a month ago. I've had an Oreck in the past similar to this model and it lasted almost 20 years. Pretty impressive. So, I bought this one a short time after the other one finally broke. So far, I am still impressed with the Oreck vacuum. The two speed switch is still one of the best features on the vacuum. When I get onto light carpet I simply hit the switch to low speed and keep going. I had a single speed vacuum for a short time between the time of my old Oreck and my new one. I was constantly having to pull the light carpet away from the suction head because I couldn't turn down the speed of the motor. Not so with this Oreck model. I simply hit the switch to low speed and it still gives my light carpets a good cleaning. I am still sold on the Oreck brand and hope this one will last 20 years too.

With having a dog, I vacuum a LOT and need a vacuum built to tackle the job and last! It needs to handle extended use and do a great job cleaning. The Oreck Commercial Upright does it perfectly. It's 2-speed powerful motor, reinforced handle, extended length cord, and light weight make vacuuming an easier chore.

This is a great vacuum for the price i have now purchased two!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We use our commercial vacuum daily and this vacuum is a great way to get under beds and the beater brush dies a great job on carpets. Only complaint is the handles are cheap for a higher priced vac.

For $200 this vacuum cleaner is just, “OK”. The cord is too heavy, stiff and cumbersome, and there's no way you can get it to hang entirely from the undersized hook on the handle. It's suction is not bad, but not as good as The Bank BTO that I just replaced. It does go down nice and flat so that you can get under beds and other furniture without any problem, but it is annoying that there is no middle position for the handle. You have to have it either straight up or all the way down on the floor. I've never had a vacuum cleaner that didn't have a mid position. If I had it to do a little over again, I would pass on this one.
