I always wanted an oreck because it's lightweight and easy to use. it also has a handle that will lie flat to the floor for getting under furniture, which is a problem with all the ball or canister type vacuums. also this is a bagged vacuum. I know most people want a bag less but I prefer bagged for simplicity of design and use. easy belt access and roller bar access for cleaning it as well. it is so hard to find anymore. when using it transitions easily from rug/carpet to hard floors

Best vacuum cleaner I've ever owned assembly, is only the top of operating handle it has no attachments, but if you just need clean floors, this is your vacuum cleaner. Love love love.!!!!

I am a very happy owner of my second ORECK XL VACUM. The power of this product has outstanding pick -up suction, the length of the power card is fantastic, and to handle the operation of this product is lightweight to maneuver. It doesn't have bells and whistles but it sure does the job.

This is my 4th Oreck upright vaccum. I've also had a couple of the small canister vacs and their carpet shampooer. I'm 78 and been vacuuming for many years and before experiencing an Oreck I had several other brands. Never had any trouble with any of my Oreck products...just passed them along when I would move to a new place. I especially like Orecks light weight and ease in getting under furniture. I really don't mind the bags...don't care to open the container full of all the nasty stuff the gables ones hold and shaking it into a garbage bag to then discard. Also those types of machines will not pass under a bed or sofa ... got to own a stick vac too to clean thoroughly. So glad to once again have a dependable Oreck... especially at my age!

The Name Oreck is well known for good quality. I have 2 of the air purifiers, and now this. Long cord 35', the shipping weight is 13 pounds. and really easy to assemble.

We like the Orick and have had one in the past. BUT The instructions on this one were written so small they could hardly be read. Otherwise fine!!!!

I needed a lighter weight vacuum cleaner and decided to try the Oreck. My hoover was too heavy. Obviously, my hoover also wasn't cleaning well because the first use of the Oreck my carpets looked so much cleaner. Also, love that I can get under my bed and some other furniture. It's easy to maneuver as well. So glad I decided to buy this. Assembly was a breeze.

I had one of the top of the line Oreck for 17 years. Never a problem. It finally died. I paid less for this( $200) one . I can really tell how much they have changed in workmanship. The base seems more plastic. It is loud but most vacuums are. It was easy to put handle on. The cord is heavy and made well. I have to pick it up to vacuum an area rug because it sucks it up. Hopefully this one last 10 years.

Bad design. DO NOT BUY! 1. Floor head is too big and will not fit under furniture. 2. Suction tube between head and bag is TOO SMALL, causing it to clog easily %26 often. The tube should at least 1.5" in diameter. 3. It's a bit too loud compared to other models. 4. It's way overpriced for all of these defects. I recommend another unit for this price.

This came with zero attachments, no extra bag. After using a hand full of times it smells like burning motor. It says industrial, but the only thing industrial about it is the electric cord. The rest seems cheap for how much I paid for it. I am obviously not satisfied with this product.
