A very good machine . A bit if a learning curve as with all sharpeners
My first chain sharpener and what at great experience. I worried over the price for a while but made the right choice for me. Setup was easy and I sharpened every chain in my garage in an hour. I have five different chain saws between two different brands and three different chain sizes. Switching between setups was quick and easy. The hydraulic clamp is a great time saver and lets you zip through a chain in no time. I don't know if I will ever sharpen enough chains for myself to justify the price but I don't care. If I were going to ever sharpen chains for hire this would be my choice.
Have two properties I cut wood on for recreational camp fires. Own 5 chain saws (thee models between them) with two chains each for a total of 10 chains. Still teaching son-in-laws how to keep tip of blades out of dirt so have to sharpen all chains a couple times a year. Went with this model because of the hydraulic assist to set and hold chain when sharpening the links. Fit on the workbench easily for access and adjustments. Pricing and quality right for my use.
I like the price, especially since it included key accessories: 1/8 and 3/16 sharpening wheels, 5/16 flat wheel (for depth gauges), dressing block and a couple of gauges. Not knowing they were included, I bought all of these separately (it was still less than elsewhere). Walmart should state what items are included in the description. Oregon should print it on the box.
I've sharpened about 12 chains so far. It was quite the learning curve since the instructions are so poor. Thankfully there is youtube! The tool works awesome! I cut up 5 decent sized oak trees with one chain and it was still going strong and I use less fuel since it cuts so much faster now. Trust me, spend the money and get one!! I made my own mounting bracket that lets me put it in a vice or in a receiver hitch.
So far, this is a little powerhouse of a sharpener. User friendly. Would recommend.
This chainsaw chain sharpener is simply the best thing ever! Pretty straight forward mounting and the adjustments are simple. Sure is no ce to save $8 per chain sharpening fee at the local store!
The 620 is easy to set up, easy to use and makes sharpening fun. The hydraulic feature is a must if you are sharpening multiple chains. This machine rocks!
I was hesitant to purchase because of the price but after using this sharpener I feel it was worth every dollar. I highly recommend it.
Purchased this chain sharpener followed the set up instructions. After the set up I went online and watched a number of how to videos. When you understand all the settings (angles) for the chain you are sharpening this machine works great. I'm happy with this purchase.
