I wanted my small saw's chain sharpened, but it was too small. The sales associate recommended I purchase a file and sharpen it myself! I did so and am very pleased.

The right file for your chainsaw’s teeth.
Sharp chainsaw teeth are essential to the efficient use of the saw. Sharpen after each tank of gas. File toward the tip of the bar, for best edge. Most importantly, use the correct diameter file for your chain’s teeth. The folks at Northern Tool know their stuff, and can help you get what you need. Thank you, J S Garner
