Extraordinarily good flavor. Expect pits to remove, but plums would not hold any shape without them and they'd turn to mush in the can. Since they are unpeeled, likely necessarily so, you'll see split skins on them - they add a lot of the texture to the juice and color, as well as flavor. They are quite expensive, but they taste great.
These are absolutely delicious!! Wish they were available in a bigger can.
It's everything a fig bar should be.
They are over priced but I buy them.
Very tasty although a bit pricy for the size can. I loved them
excellent plums very tasty but very expensive
The only reason I'm not giving these Oregon Fruit Company Purple Plums in Heavy Syrup five stars is the price. Otherwise, this is a great product. The 15-ounce can is well packed, perfectly contained, and the packaging is beautiful. The plums themselves are just the right size to pop one in your mouth. They're soft, juicy, sweet, and they taste exactly like good plums should. I like to put the can in the refrigerator and eat them nice and cold. They make a great dessert, a wonderful snack, and honestly, if you eat like I do sometimes, they can even make a perfect little meal. Don't let the syrup go to waste either, because it's delicious. They do have pits, but that's not a problem at all if you're used to eating fruit. The pits come right out, very easily, no teeth involved. I would definitely recommend these and would buy them again. I hope that if you try them, you'll find them as delicious as I do.
I've had these before and used to make a great plum sauce. So impressed Walmart carried the item as I needed for a dinner tonight and ordered yesterday. Sadly, the can arrived dented. I hope the contents are not spoiled as can happen with dented cans. The outer box was fine so a Walmart employee decided this was a good selection for us. I so want to like Walmart and give it more of our business but this is a regular occurance.. a broken jar of olives, crushed items, minimal packing material. They are so close (less than 24 hr shipping!) and yet so far with the quality of the items they choose for shipping and delivery (we have never had a problem with Pick Up.
Delivered dented. All cans dented. I have all the photos and I will be posting them on 3rd party sites like Yelp and Google reviews. Put in a tiny box with no packaging material at all. Never ordering again, no money for walmart and its lying foreign call centers.
Don't buy from Walmart online. 1/3rd of them will be dented.
