AS I age more seems like I think about safety more. I always wore ear protection. Learned to do that when working in underground mines. I appreciate life and health more. Have worn my chaps and head gear several times. I sure feel a lot more safe and secure wearing my gear. Thank you. John
I love it. It fits me well, actually comfortable. Love the pop open ear muffs. A must for projects like I'm doing now. Trimming mulberry trees where using a pole saw and the branches come flying down at you at a high speed sometimes at the head. Wouldn't trim any tree overhead again without it.
I replaced a similar Husqvarna hard hat with this one just trying a different brand. They both appear to be of similar quality and do what they were intended to do -- prevent head bumps and keep chips out of your face. The incorporated ear protection also seems to work well and is convenient, being attached the the hat. One of the reasons for replacing the former hat was that the sockets holding the ear muffs to the hat had broken allowing the cups to fall off the hat. I notice that in the instructions included that there is a good possibility for that to also happen with this hat and so are supposed to store the hat with the hearing protectors in a neutral position without constant pressure on the joint and sockets. So far so good.
Bought this helmet after a head injury from a falling limb, I looked at some cheaper models but didn't like the headgear on them. I normally don't like wearing hats/helmets but the pro model is very comfortable, I can wear it for hrs without a problem. Definitely worth worth extra money.
Product was delivered couple weeks ago. I have used it three times and it has performed as built. It wears well easy to adjust and has the safety mask and helmet has saved me a headache a couple times already. I can navigate easily with the head gear on. Recommend
Recently purchased. The plastic strap that connects the helmet to the face shield will break off easily in the cold weather so watch out for that. I superglued mine back together but it probably won't hold. They should make it sturdier somehow because I like the face shield but have been using only safety glasses since the face shield broke off.
If the sweat band had been included as advertised, this would be a 5 star product. It was easy to assemble and is light weight. So far, it has helped in staying safe. I would purchase it again. It appears to be well made and durable. I have only used it a few times and it has held up well. Yet, the true test will be in the next year when I count on it to protect me as I work through a lot of branch work. If it keeps doing what it's doing, I will be more than happy.
For the price you get a good value, however not as nice as the same configuration Husky product. Still haven't had my query completed answered, pic on product item description has a bib attached to the face mask, which is true, came with that face mask, but the product description mentions (or did at the time of my purchase) a washable sweat band, which was not included,
I bought the safety helmet expecting a far stronger, better made product. Maybe they're all made like this but almost all of the components on this helmet system are plastic. I do not have confidence in its protective ability or its durability.
I received this helmet 6 days ago and have used it 3 days for maybe a total of 6 or 8 hours. The clip that attaches the bracket for the ear muffs and face shield to the helmet itself has come loose 3 or 4 times. Never when I was wearing it but when I laid it down in the truck or trailer. In the long term I don't think this is going to hold up well. Oregon has been supplying the forestry and chainsaw industry for long enough to know that this is not gentle work. This clip needs to be built a little more robustly than a princess's tiara. When you look at the reviews on the Oregon website you will see that this problem has been written up for years but they apparently never improved it. I think I will try to drill a hole through it and try putting a screw with washer and nut on it to try to keep it together. Other than the weak clip it works fine for its intended protective purposes
