I have struggled with algae blooms for years from oak trees pollen entering the swimming pool. In years past I would use a lot of algaecide to remedy the situation. I started using this product two year ago and it has had a great positive affect on the development of algae within the pool. It's expensive, but if you add up the amount of additional chlorine and algaecide needed to control the algae, it slightly more cost effective.
If you have a problem with algae in your pool, then you need a good phosphate remover. Phosphates are food for algae. I've tried a number of brands of phosphate remover and decided to try Orenda PR-10000. It seems to work as well as the more expensive brands. I would buy it again.
I've used this concentrated phosphate remover for my pool and it works very, very well. The small containers pool supply stores sell are ridicuously expensive and this is by far the cheapest way to buy a season's (or two's) worth of this great product.
Great product. Works as described
Great product. It does as it describes. It keeps pool from turning green. Worth the cost.
PR 10,000 took all the cloudiness out of my water
Great, effective product!
A bit pricey but well worth it!!
This product is a very effective tool to remove phosphates from a pool. My phosphates were over 10,000 and this product helped me drop them to below 200 ppm.
PR 10000 lowers phosphate levels. We have a dog (lots of dog hair) and a lot of plants in the yard (I assume these are sources of phosphates) It's recommended to clean filters after application so I use when I am ready to clean filters, any way (about every 3 months - cartridge filters). It's a little "pricey" and some things I've read say lowering phosphates is not necessary if you keep up with chlorine and acid (PH) levels. But I use it as a little "insurance" against algae growth... and the pool water seems clearer after application(s).
