Perfect Peas
FTL Organic Split Peas are nothing short of perfect. I always sort through split peas before cooking to ensure there are no little pebbles like sometimes infiltrate dried peas, beans and lentils. I have never found one in my FTL split peas! Great product, decent price.

These were outstanding. Absolutely clean with nothing but beautiful split peas. Cooked up great in Split Pea Soup with Ham Bone and tasted great. I am going to look for recipes other than soup these ere so good. Who raves about a dried split pea? These were that good.

Very clean
We eat a lot of split pea soup. Food to Live has these Organic Green Split Peas at a great price and they are always very clean. They cook up evenly which tells me that they are fresh.

disappointed
I bought tgese because they were organic and the price for 3 lbs was great but the peas never softened no matter how long I cooked them! 8 hours in a crockpot!!

Disappointed
I had high hopes for these organic peas, and I don't know what I'm doing wrong, but I've tried twice to make pea soup and even after boiling hard for 20 minutes and then simmering for over two hours, the peas are so hard they cannot be mashed. They TASTE good but the consistency is awful. I've made many a pot of pea soup and have never had this problem. They're headed for the trash can ...

Horrible split peas - WASTE OF MONEY and time!
I noticed while cooking these split peas that they were not bright green like other brands that I have tried. The big problem is that even though I soaked these peas overnight they remained a bit hard after being cooked for 8 hours! I usually cook split peas for 4 hours and they are tender. These NEVER got tender at all. I am very disappointed as I prepared them in a soup that took a lot of time, money and effort to prepare only to have it all go to waste!
