Great for all my Gluten Free bread making.

Hi. I have been using this product for many years and have been very satisfied. However, since I have been receiving the product directly from organic India, I have noticed several changes. First, the color seems to be much lighter, the taste seems more pronounced, and the flakes are much smaller with a finer texture. There's also a slight odor which was not present previously. I also don't think that it is as effective as the previous product

Other than using this as a prebiotic, mixed with liquid - I will also use it to make bread in my new Bread machine - there is well over a quart in this 12oz box Thank You Organic India for this product and Walmart for having it available to purchase!

Works very well. I have been using this product over a year and a half now. It doesn't clump up,it got es down ooth and no after taste.My husband and I have not suffered any no- ticeable side affects. We highly recommend this product.

My kinesiologist asked me to supplement psyllium husk twice a day for the next 6 weeks. I chose Organic India having had positive experiences with their other products (various teas, ashwagandha, tulsi, and gotu kola to name a few). The canister is easy to open and scoop out my serving. I scoop 2 teaspoons into a pint of water and stir. Recommend drinking quickly because it gets gelatinous fast, similar to chia seeds. I'm not always so great about waiting but if I try to eat right after, it hasn't hit my stomach yet and I suddenly feel very full. The overall flavor is mild but reminds me of sweet onion and a hint of garlic, I was more aware at first but now I don't pay any attention to it. Any residual husk left in your glass will glue itself to the walls so I rinse out my glass thoroughly when I'm done or leave it to soak.

My doctor recommended this to me about 2 weeks ago. I've been using it every morning. I started by adding it to 17 oz of water, and orange juice, but the texture is what gets me. The fiber also falls to the bottom even when you mix it. So I just dump the entire tbsp in my mouth and chase with water to get it over with. There is virtually zero taste, but the texture that's another story. I will continue to buy this product.

I wanted to buy Metamucil, but when I read their label, I see they don't use psyllium anymore . They make it out of corn. I don't want corn so this was my only other choice. I haven't tried it yet, but it looks and smells adequate so it seems like it's going to be fine.

There's a warning Label now on the product. I've been using this to help with digestion and gas problems during pregnancy and I just noticed on the back a Reproductive Harm Label. More Lead and whatever else in this product than you want to ingest while pregnant. I'll be looking for a different brand. Waste of money.

There's a Proposition 65 warning that isn't disclosed in the description text, but it does not state whether it's the product or the packaging that's contaminated. I messages Organic India via their website for clarification. They responded assuring me that the amount of lead present was safe. As lead is bioaccumulative there are no safe levels, as any pediatrician will tell you. I requested a copy of their heavy metal test results, to which they responded: "Thanks for following up. It is not within our policy to publish heavy metal test results." OrganTic, like Big's "energy" drinks; not organic as-in "free from contaminants". Metals are naturally occurring in soil in trace amounts. The threshold amounts for Prop 65 are not naturally occurring amounts, they are amounts present only in contaminated soil like those found in third world countries like India. Just like Japan's policy of giving porpoise meat to school kids and tourists is deemed "safe" because they refuse to acknowledge there is NO SAFE LEVEL of mercury anyone can consume, India's policy of "acceptable levels of lead" also poisons everyone who consumes their products, except Organic India is allowed to export their poisoned products to the United States and other developed countries.

There seems to be a quality control issue. I brought the item home after purchase, opened the sealed canister and noticed what appeared to be tiny dead bugs in it. I was excited to try the product for use in baking/cooking, but was extremely grossed out by seeing dead bugs in it when I opened the item. It definitely seems to be a quality control issue with the manufacturer, because as I mentioned the item was brand new/sealed, and the packaging did not seem to be compromised in any way, so it had to have come from the manufacturer that way. Unfortunately, I was not willing to take the chance with trying to get a replacement of the same brand, but will instead seek it elsewhere, and therefore would not recommend this particular product based on my experience.
