whoever did the shopping this time did a great job. I ordered allot of fresh veggies and everything was fresh and not browning. There have been times that I've ordered stuff like fresh cauliflower and it was browning and that let me know that either the shopper didn't know how to shop or they just didn't care. The shopper for this order was amazing!!!
Organic celery was selected on a delivery order and it was a horrible package chosen by the Walmart shopper. One stalk is mostly dark green, near molding. Another stalk is light yellow. Not happy. Isn’t worth ordering online for delivery when shoppers select disgusting product in the produce.
I am so disappointed! My order was delivered last evening, I put the celery and green onions in the refrigerator. I took them out to make a salad and the celery was next to rotten!
They deliver these things rotten and then want you to return it so they can redeliver the rotten product to another person The whole reason I got delivery was because I couldn’t get to the store.
I threw it out. I have gotten many bad batches of this celery. This particular bunch was rubbery and SO tough that you could not even bite into it. Even the very inside celery that is usually almost white and very tender could hardly bite into it and it was so bitter that I spit it out. I like bitter so you know this was really bitter! Part of the problem is that the shoppers put OLD celery bunches into the order. Shoppers do not check to see if veggies are rotting.
Usually, this celery is adequate; sometimes, too much leaf. This particular order found half of the celery stalks had brown, dry circular spots all the way through. Yuk
It was small, all shriveled up and floppy. I would not have chosen it if shopping for myself. I wish the shoppers would do the same. Don’t pick items they wouldn’t find acceptable for themselves.
two separate deliveries twice today .. HIRE SOME SHOPPERS WHO KNOW HOW TO READ A LABEL AND CAN SCAN PROPERLY. both times i was given green onions and NOT CELERY.. its really not that hard and my order was marked no substitution, so i dont understand how this keeps happening???
I happened to do a curbside pickup the evening before I needed the celery. When I went to use it the next day, it was badly damaged, limp and moldy. I obviously had to throw this out. If you happen to pick it out yourself, I believe it's fine. I think it has more to do with the shoppers and the produce manager. I also received a moldy and damaged onion in this order.
I ordered this organic celery to use in a roast stew I was making. Because it was in a stew, I didn't notice the bad taste. A day or 2 later, I decided to eat a stalk of the remaining celery. After washing it, it had an incredibly bad taste. Paid premium price for organic, which distinctly had a non-organic tasted. Would like a refund.
