Organic Value Bulk Potting Mix Pallet (30 1 cu. ft. bags)

This is one of the best organic potting mixes I’ve used. The texture is fluffy but substantial — it holds moisture well without staying soggy, which has been huge for keeping my plants healthy. I’ve used it for houseplants, herbs, and container veggies, and everything has taken off. I really appreciate that it’s truly organic and well-balanced right out of the bag. No need to amend or guess what’s missing. The mix drains nicely, doesn’t compact over time, and feels fresh and clean — not dusty or filled with random debris like some others I’ve tried. Transplant shock was minimal, and plants adjusted quickly. Leaves look greener, growth is steady, and watering has been much more forgiving. If you want a reliable, high-quality organic potting soil that works across a wide range of plants, this is an easy yes. I’ll keep this as my go-to.

I really like this potting soil. My plants do really well since I started using it. I've bought 5 or 6 bags because the quality is good. There is no added trash in it just good soil and a few wood chips. It is so much better than Miracle Grow. The price is good considering how good the quality is of the potting soil. It can be used on inside and outside pots. It works well for all types of plants.

If your looking for outdoor soil with chunks of mud and mulch mixed into it...then maybe I would recommend this soil....but this is definitely not for indoor plants. Also was heavily infested with little gnats. Having a very hard time getting anything to grow in this

I bought this product as a seed starting mix. (This product came up when I search seed starting soil in the Walmart search function). Sadly, it is mostly large wood chips which is not ideal for starting seeds as they need a finer substrate to establish. I also noticed the product came very wet as I have seen in other reviews. I noticed on day 2 that there is mold in my bags of soil and on the trays that I have used the soil in. So overall I would not recommend this product for seed starting.

I have always started my plants from seed. I had around 40 tomato and pepper plants in a seed starting mix, ready to pot up. I bought this potting mix because it was organic. Out of the bag, it smelled like uncomposted manure. A week later, ALL my seedlings have begun turning yellow. They have not grown at all. I'm not sure if there's too much fertilizer in this or what. But I absolutely do NOT recommend this for potting up seedlings. I have never had this problem before using Miracle Gro potting mix. I may not have any tomatoes or peppers this year. I would give this item zero stars if I could. I have never had such bad soil in my life and I have used soil from a previous year before. These bags had nothing but sticks and trash in them. I was finding pieces of blue and black plastic in every handful of soil and that is not an exaggeration. It also brought so many gnats into my house from the indoor plants and my back patio from the 10 planters I have outdoors. It destroyed every plant I grew and almost killed another plant I had repotted with this. I will never purchase this soil ever again. It was a huge waste of time and money. Stay away from this product!!!!

Ordered this potting soil for indoor office plants. Within a week our entire office was invaded by fungus gnats. We tried every available spray, mosquito dunk, etc. My fellow employees were constantly swiping them away from their faces, they would fly near them as they were in meetings, it was distracting and unprofessional. I had to remove all the dirt from the freshly repotted plants, and throw it all away. That soil is basically just a bag of gnats. Buyer beware!!

I opened the bag and I can tell that this has been sitting forever and horrible condition. The soil is nasty mouldy not happy at all. You are better off getting the $3 Walmart brand

It's been over two months, and plants that were potted with Back to the Roots Soil are a fraction of the size of the same batches of plants potted in other potting soils. Even plants in much smaller pots are 4 times the size of plants potted with Back to the Roots potting soil. Tomatoes peppers, cauliflower, onions, etc. are all stunted. The soil appears to contain mainly forest products and mushrooms. It doesn't hold water. We do NOT recommend this product.

Very disappointing quality. Lots of woody particles. Used in various ways - as new potting mix, top dressing %26 mixed in with other potting mix brand - but it's proved inferior. None of the plants seem to like it. Might just be just peat-free wood particles. Very sad.
