I first purchased a type that came in tin cans and did not like, so then I found this HUGE 16-ounce bag of loose Krishna Holy Basil which has a stronger Spicer flavor. You don't need much to make a cup of tea. I now use 2 teaspoons not 1 Tablespoon. I also use honey for the sweetener. This tastes like the plants I grew, but stronger. The effects are just as most descriptions talk about and you won't be disappointed. I filled an Apothecary Jar on my Kitchen Cabinet and used peel and stick labels to label the canister. I put the bag of Holy Basil in original packaging in a 2-gallon zip lock bag and now store in a dark Pantry cabinet. Now it's double bagged!

Holy basil or tulsi tea and melatonin are about the only things you can take for severe night-terrors or severe nightmares. A webinar from a bunch of functional medicine doctors recommended tulsi tea and this product fits the bill. The doctors regularly proscribe tulsi tea for combat veterans with PTSD and night-terrors. The price is great and the quality of the tea is very, very good. Some other brands grind tulsi tea into a powder which sucks because it is hard to filter out for a decent cup of tea. This tea has a nice loose leaf consistency that is easy to filter. The tea is good cold or hot. Tulsi tea is an adaptogenic herb that gives you energy when you are tired or calms you down when you are anxious. There are a bunch of health benefits but I only drink it at night for nightmares. Tulsi tea has been used for thousands of years in India and is very safe as a tea. I started having severe nightmares after working for the government while I was in law school. Nothing else out there seems to help. I hope this product helps you too.

I drink tulsi every day, but the brand I was using had some quality issues. I searched around and found a couple of brands that were ok, but this did the trick. This is affordable and tasty. High quality leaves. Good packaging. I am very pleased overall.
