Pretty good quality, great it comes in 1lb. I would definitely purchase larger bulk sizes if offered. Normally it is hard to find in stores and quality isn't as good as Organic Way.

Rama is the most common type of holy basil. It is mostly taken for its medical properties in ayurvedic medicine. It's supposed to help support your immune health. It's taken as a tea or infused into ghee. It's a cousin to sweet basil, which we use in cooking. It's also involved in Indian religion. Traditional indians worship at an altar bearing a holy basil plant, hence the name. This one is very fresh and seems high quality and well prepared, but as with all herbal medications and supplements, consult with your primary care physician prior to use as it can interact with other medications. You will find that rama tulsi has a mellow flavor. It's very pleasant.

This smells and tastes very fresh, and the leaves are dried enough to crumble.This isn't whole leaf - the pieces are about the same as you would find in loose tea. There are some twigs. Not a lot, and some of them are probably just from the center rib of the leaf, but they can be quite long (like, an inch), and I would definitely pull those out when you add the spice.

I loooooove tulsi. I like it hot, I like it iced. I like it when I'm sick, and when I'm healthy but thirsty. This is good stuff, smells fresh and potent. Brews up a nice strong tea, and is organic as well. My only issue with this is that it's a little pricey, but maybe I'm spoiled by the per oz price buying in 1lb bags.

I take Tulsi in a tincture form under the tongue. It's a good all around tonic, so was looking forward to trying Tulsi tea.Love that this is organic. That always makes me feel more comfortable. The flavor isn't quite what I expected. It's very mild as opposed to the distinctive taste from my tincture. Perhaps that's because the tincture is more concentrated.
