Good powder. Very smooth and luv the flavor...
good service, hard to find-would like to order again
Quality and value. I have sourced powders for smoothies for at least 25 years. Many vendors, some keepers some fair weather bandits that lure and bait and switch and sell your data. My recent (last few years) vendor for some of my smoothie powder ingredients and some other uses has been Food For Life. Notwithstanding sustainability and sourcing elements (of which I have not fully vetted), this distributor seems to be solid in the way of quality and value. Hence, I have come to trust them for a fair price and consistent quality and freshness. NOTE: I experimented with the black and red MACA and the conclusion is that I can tell no difference other than getting gigged on the hype price. I have the feeling that the vendors and the growers are laughing all the way to the bank. There is just no way other than full-on lab analysis to determine whether what you are paying for is what is advertised. SO I am back to just the plain, good old yellow MACA (which BTW is what brought attention to the MACA trade in the 1st place). Regular consistent use rather than a stronger "super"food hype is what promotes health, just like exercise and nutrition and sleep, etc. Slow steady consistent grind. Food For Life fits in there for me.
I only learned recently that most of my insomnia was due to not getting enough HIGH QUALITY PROTEIN into my diet. When I was in Peru, they added maca to salads due to little to no electricity. I wasn't crazy about the "mouth feel" but was impressed with the quality of highly usable protein for the body. When I returned home I decided find a good company (like this one) and try it in a shake which I found delicious! If you are out of Almond Milk to mix it with, just use one or two tablespoons of Almond butter (or any other healthy nut butter) and water to taste. (so much cheaper and healthier for you!) You can also add a little vanilla and something to sweeten it (such as a couple of dates or some local honey. A hint of salt is helpful, too.) It's better to start out with only one Tablespoon Maca powder. (Please read about it) I love this source from "Food to Live" because it it organic and they offer it in bulk so you can save money. I got a speedy delivery. The only problem with the packaging is that I could not make the zip lock top stay closed.
This is my first time using maca, it tastes quite alright. Service is reliable and who doesn't like free shipping! Only one thing I wish was different, hopefully in the future servings quantity would be shown as spoons.
When I opened the package, the Maca Powder smelled so good. Much better than the one I previously had bought. I expect that I will be purchasing this again.
I liked the speed of shipping. I haven't used the product much yet. But I look forward to using it. As it is very good. And I like that it is organic.
I think the dosage is way too high on the package (recommended 28 gram serving size) whereas the typical maca root pill is 500-525 milligrams. There is no way anyone could stand the taste of a 28 gram serving but I have been able to put a teaspoon's worth in a smoothie and not taste it. That will give me about 4.5 grams in a serving which in the end is far less costly than taking maca root in pill form.
I ordered several products... 4 of which were the same color of powder plus some green powders. I opened the shipping envelope and one of the bags was not sealed and there was powder everywhere! It was a mess! I emailed and customer service did respond quickly but after 2 weeks I still don’t know if it’s resolved. They asked which bag was damaged but honestly it was such a mess it was super hard to figure out so I guessed which bag was damaged. I don’t think the quality is that superior to have to wait to figure out their response! Good luck if you decide to order. I felt for the amount of powders I ordered they would have been better protected in a box not a flimsy shipping envelope.
Reached me in very bad temperature very hot its herb and medicine should be with care and at least room temperature
