i was skeptical at first to purchase this ice machine because of some of the reviews wasnt good. But when they had a special sale on the green and blue one for 148.00 I couldnt pass it up. I did purchase the extended warrenty just in case because of some of the reviews. I choose the green one. It is pick so make sure you have the counter space to sit it. I leave it on 24 hrs a day and when the ice basket fills up with ice it stops on its own producing ice. It doesnt have a insulated basket to keep the ice from melting but I always have ice and when some of the ice melts down the water goes into the bottom reservoir and starts making ice again. I like the large side tank to hold water as well. It will hold almost a full gallon of water. I only use distilled water in it. It comes with a little ice scoop and tray for the front. It has a auto clean button on it to clean the machine and also a blue light. I would recommend this ice machine to anyone and if you can catch it on a deal like I did you better run not walk to get it because the deals dont last long.
I was so excited yet so nervous when I came across this ice maker. So many brands claim to make “nugget” ice but the GE is the only one I've seen that actually does…. Until now! This ice maker is half the price and makes the exact same ice! My mom and sister both have the GE and I loved it just couldn't bring myself to paying the price they were asking. I'm glad I didn't, this one is way more visually pleasing and honestly I think the basket size is bigger as well. Super happy with this purchase!
I have been wanting a countertop ice maker for years now, and I have always had my eye on the GE Opal, but the price point was just too high for the convenience of the machine. Enter this beautiful Orgo ice maker with the GOOD ice at a fraction of the cost. Run, do not walk, to place your order while it is on sale!
I've only had it out of the box for 3 hours, but so far I love it. Ice is perfect. It's about as loud as our refrigerator. It has a constant hum about the same as our air fryer when in use or a drink vending machine, but how can you avoid that with a compressor running? Constant sound of ice dropping, but what do you expect. To me, the sound is worth it for the soft, crunchy, fresh ice. It's about half full after 2 hours of running. I'm not an optimistic person, but I hope it lasts. I assume that I will have an option to update this review in the future. If not, all I can say is so far, so good. I bought the Walmart protection plan based on the many reviews of countertop ice makers in general. It came fully assembled, except for the exterior reservoir. Instructions for first start up were straight forward. Clean it, fill with water, plug in and start making ice. I paid $200 plus tax and protection plan.
Have had the product for 1 week now. My husband and I are very happy with this ice maker. Makes small, crunchy, yet soft nugget ice in just minutes. It does not melt quickly. Container fills in a few short hours. I would recommend this item. Well worth the $$$.
I was originally looking for an Opal nugget ice maker, but honestly I want to say this is better. Better price, better looking. It is a bit bulky, but it matches my home aesthetic, it’s cute and comes in a lot of colors, I got the green one. Everyone loves it when they come over. The only comment I have is it’s hard to understand the directions at some points. You have to remove a a tube from the nozzle to connect to the water line and it took me 10 minutes to make sure it was the right one.
So for starters, I read a lot of the reviews for this guy before I pulled the trigger. I did have an oily substance on the outside by the compressor, but once I got that cleaned off, it was good to go. I've only had it plugged in for an hour and it's filled up a good portion of the ice container. It's sleek and it fits under the cabinets perfectly. I live in an apartment and counter space is sacred, but this guy doesn't take up too much room. Hopefully he will last a while, because I'm already in love ❤️
Just opened the box half hour ago so can't give complete review just yet so giving it a 4 cause it is working and was easy to set up. One side of unit had some sticky oily substance all over it. Weird cause it was sealed in box and nothing sticky inside the box and looked to have never been opened. Hoping that doesn't affect it. Currently on first cycle and ice looks good! Bought extra warranty just in case.
Shipped April 6th, started leaking water profusely from the front of the machine May 7th, contacted Orgo multiple times through online form and email, machine was finally a water fountain and not usable June 5th. Absolutely ridiculous to pay ~$150 on sale, nevertheless full price of ~$300, for a machine that last under a month in good working order, and absolutely useless in under two (2) months! The only saving grace was within the return window at Walmart AND AllState protection plan that actually served it's purpose with ease! I'm actually telling you that yes the extended warranty was not a waste, if the machine had made it any longer the return window would have closed and I'd be jacked! Orgo, be ashamed in your absolute lack of customer service and support. Walmart, please stop selling this garbage. AllState, you did wonderfully.
Worked great for a month. Then unit started leaking from the right side of the ice drawer when ice is in the drawer. Water appears to be coming out of the drawer from ice melting and running down the bottom face of the unit. Leaks from the middle of the drawer rail.
