Orientation Board

Product is very effective in the area that I use it in for the individuals on the home I supervise. The individuals have different levels of mental and physical abilities, so they love helping to change the board to update it daily.

I work in a facility for people with Alzheimer's or Dementia. This board helps my residents identify with the ""outside world"", without having to repeatedly ask ""what is today?, what month is this? Is it cold outside, etc""

I've heard from our customers that this item is very useful. This item has been in our line for years and is still very popular. A great buy for the money.

We placed ours in a common area along with a calendar. Residents have a sense of dignity knowing for themselves what day it is without having to manipulate a caledar or asking someone. Some come with pen and paper and write the info down as they may forget during the course of a day.

The Calendar is in a spot where Residents can read and see.Some residents vision is poor so the objects like the sun,clouds,etc.are beneficial to them.We are very happy with this product.

The board is a good tool, however, the vinyl pieces have gotten thinner, less quality. Also needs more events/holidays and weather descriptions: cloudy, humid, temperature, chance of showers/thunderstorms. You can't write on it (with dry erase or wash off markers)because it gets ruined.

I really like this item but I don't know how to store the parts without messing them up or loosing them. The sheets they come on are to big for storage. It would be nice if they came in a book of some sort (ex: pic. album that you open the plastic sheet and put your picture.)

The idea is great and I was really excited to order this, but this thing does not work. The stick ons do not stick. They all fell off within 10 minutes. It would help if the board itself were more like a whiteboard instead of glossy posteroard.

To orient residents to date month season, and weather. This was really great but after awhile of use, the plasic dates and days do not stick to the board very well. It is a good visual but has a short life.

The board is used for reality orientation in an Alzheimers and dementia center. My staff changes the information daily and they have found that it is hard to ""peel"" dates etc off and place on board. It is time consuming to them and I do not believe that the quality and durability is there. The ones we had before were of stiff plastic and slid in the slot. Those lasted for years and needed to be replaced.
