My daughter has been playing with the Original Tamagotchi Virtual Pet for about a month now. Let alone I had one when I was a little girl and it's literally just like it. Wow, brings back such great memories!! The plaid is the one we got and it really adds a cute touch to it. The key chain is perfect for her to hook to her back pack or anything she carries. Now for the game itself, my daughter has loved! I personally love it too, cause it has seem to give her a great sence of responsibility. Kids need to feed, play, clean up, and put thier pet to bed. Having to do several chores to keep your pet alive gives them a responsibility but this makes it very fun as well. This Tamagotchi is something to really go back on your childhood and gives you and your daughter something to bond together with. She has just as much fun as I had with my old Tamagotchi. My older daughters even had fun playing with this Tamagotchi. I love how you can also change in the settings if your going to be away or unable to care for it, you can set it so it takes a break till your ready to come back. You actually see your pet hatch and grow in stages to an adult. It really is a great little toy that lasts and is very durable. It's a fun entertaining cute toy for lots of ages. I'd definitely recommend for anyone who loves using electronics or taking care of things especially. It also is a cute accessory for any little girl. I have nothing bad to say about this toy.
Im not gonna lie I bought this for the only intention for myself but my 9yrs old daughter saw it. She helped me out to set it up which is super easy and she loved it so she kept it. I babysit when she goes to school but I truly recommend this!! She wants more tamagotchis!
I gave this a 5 star review because it's cute and it works as intended. I gave this as a gift to a 9-year-old girl who just loved it when she first received it. But, unfortunately, it did not keep her attention for long... It is the kind of thing meant for someone who really wants it and is committed to doing what it has been created for... Maybe she's just the tablet-type kid who does not do many hands-on, consistent, activities. Make sure your recipient is...
Well this tamagotchi is exactly how I remember it. I had one as a kid. It brought back a lot of good memories. For some reason I thought it was bigger but I guess my hands were just smaller lol. Mine only lived to be 6 years old. As an adult I don't have the time to really tend to it. I like that it sleeps at normal bedtime hours and wakes up at a decent time as well. It's exciting to see it change as it gets older because you don't know what it can turn into. I'm gonna give my daughter a chance to care for it and see how well she does and hoping she doesn't loose it lol!
Mr. Tamagotchi is a hit!!!! We've successfully raised several happy aliens (who eventually headed back to their home planet)! We call each one of the aliens 'Tommy,' and I think we're on 'Tommy V' . . . or maybe even 'Tommy VI'!!!! I babysit Tommy during the day while my kid is at school (and you do need to put Tommy on 'silent' mode from time-to-time . . . . 'cause he may beep A LOT!!!! HAAA!!!! My kid is ALWAYS interested to see how Tommy's doing . . . and she enjoys feeding him, playing a game with him, and just making sure he's happy!!! She likes the size of Tommy - 'cause she can easily carry him & take him with her!! The ONLY thing that she has mentioned that would be better is if the screen were a little bit brighter ('cause sometimes it's difficult to see the images/icons.) Other than that, Mr. Tamagotchi has been entertaining & engaging!!!!!!
I remember having the Gen 1 Tamagotchi as a kid and this is as close to buying a vintage one as you can get! It has the same egg shape, same bright tye dye colors and the same stainless steel ball chain you can use to attach your Tamagotchi to a backpack or purse! The quality is great, it doesn't feel at all cheap. All the same fun features to care for the pet are still present including bathing, feeding and playing games. You get a reminder beep when your pet is hungry or dirty or bored. Tamagotchi's will appeal to almost anyone; even my 13 year old daughter loves it! This toy is just timeless fun!
Wow! A trip back to the 90s! It's just like I remember it, with an updated outside. (: Right now, the little pet is "5 years old". My five year old is loving it. After I played with it a few days, my son was begging me to allow him to take care of it. Truth be told, it's been fun to see him off all the other devices and playing with something he can keep in his pocket and "take care of". It is just like I remember it: the bouncing egg, then it hatches and you get to take care of it. It might make noises once or twice an hour. My son keeps it in his pocket and pulls it out when it makes noise. So far, it's died once because he didn't take care of it for a few days, but we just hit the reset button and started over. Don't forget to set the correct time!
This little trinket-sized game has been a big hit in our household. Being a good parent to the critter that hatches keeps its growth on track and if you do slip up a new one can be hatched. This has been an every day fun event for the kids. There's an upgraded version as well, but this old fashioned Tamagotchi has the all a kid needs for some good fun.
I thought this might bring back some old memories and fun times. Old memories yes but I don't know how we ever played with anything like this. You can barely see whatever it is that hatches. All the characters look the same. It is impossible to tell the different moods because you can barely see the thing. The beeping gets very annoying after about 2 minutes. It does have a mute and pause which I used after about 5 minutes and have not used it since.
Item unfortunately had a scratch and I didn't notice until today when I was trying to see the icons at an angle unfortunately this was a gift :(
