This is a consistent quality and texture for over 20 years! The crust is chewy and delicious. Great flavor. Makes for an awesome sandwich or even toasted with butter. Very satisfying.
We recently discovered this bread and are so happy we did. It's now our favorite bread for delicious sandwiches, even just a cheese sandwich with butter...it's soooo good. Even great toasted with morning eggs. I recommend you give it a try. it's soft, flavorful and delicious!
This is the only rye bread I like, and I love it. It has seeds so if your not into seeds you won't like it. I use this bread to make turkey sandwiches, toast and butter, it's great!
I like to make a recipe called Reuben Dip every once in awhile. It requires a crockpot and a variety of ingredients that when cooked and ready to serve work very, very well on this bread. I have made a lot of these sandwiches over the years. I like my Rye bread.
Oroweat makes a delicious, moist and solid product. Please do not change your process. It is very nice to use a quality %26 consistent product. Thanks
Haven't tasted any oldness in bread...that counts for something. The texture is firm, not hard, and the taste is like that of going to a bakery years ago.
I'm a Walmart member. The one thing I don't like about it is if you want your groceries delivered, you have to deal with third-party sellers. I tried to order this bread. the Oroweat Jewish rye bread. It only showed me that bread and other homemade breads that are done by 3rd party sellers and this one was $13. I couldn't see spending $13 for a loaf of bread. So I went to Google and typed in that kind of bread. This Brian didn't come up for Walmart. This bread didn't come up for Walmart. So then I typed in Walmart Oroweat Jewish rye bread and it came up and showed $4.24. So to make a long story short, if you want to be a Walmart member you are going to pay higher prices because that's all you can get are the third-party sellers. So I guess the best thing you can do is go in and order your groceries that you're going to pick them up and then change it to delivery and then that way you can find what you need without going through third parties.
For people that loves spinach good choice
Poor selection for a replacement. Had caraway seeds not like the first request. Sent to Lowe's instead of the one loaf that I ordered. What can I do at this point?
E V E R Y single loaf of Oroweat Jewish Rye, Russian Rye or Dill Rye have huge air holes through 50% of the bread. You can make about 2 full (normal) sandwiches %26 the rest you cut in half just to make a sandwich. The quality %26 taste are now subpar. Who changed the recipe %26 no one that works there ever use their own bread. Who is responsible for quality control? Im paying for a full loaf %26 get half the last 3 loaves.
