Oroweat Schwarzwalder Rye Bread, 16 oz, Dark Rye Bread, Bag

Great flavor! I enjoy making a peanut butter and orange marmalade sandwich with dark eye bread. The savory and sweet, but not too sweet, flavors go really well together. Another favors sandwich with this dark rye bread: butter one side, heat up deli slices pastrami in a lightly pulled frying pan with 2 Tbsp olive oil, heat in the microwave for 1 minute 1/2 cup of saurkraut, drained well. Lay one slice of dark rye bread in the frying pan or griddle... butter side down. Add a slice of Swiss cheese, layer on pastrami, saurkraut and another slice of Swiss cheese. Grill until cheese is melted and a nice crust is formed on the bread. Optional, cut in half and dip in yellow mustard.

I love the dark rye bread one thing it doesn't have much sugar in it and I like bread and I've always liked the dark cry with lunch meat I would just butter and coffee I don't care for it with peanut butter though doesn't have a very good taste that way but anyways my favorite bread I go to that all the time

I actually started eating dark rice because it's slightly lower in carbohydrates. I bought it mainly for sandwiches cause it has a nice tanginess like sourdough does. But when I didn't realize it is absolutely amazing to make toast out of this stuff. And you would be surprised what a fabulous peanut butter and jelly sandwich it makes. I know, totally surprised. The pieces of bread are so large honestly that I've started just making a sandwich on half of one. Or making an open face sandwich just using one slice. Again, the sourdough like taste is delicious, the reduced carbs are appreciated, and a great value.

This bread is absolutely delicious. Tender and soft, flavorful by itself but absolutely phenomenal in cold and hot sandwiches. This makes a phenomenal patty melt, but it's also lovely with just a bit of butter on it or toasted with some pesto and fresh onion and tomato. This is one of my absolute favorite breads and I always have it on hand when I can grab a loaf, because whether it's cold sandwiches on a hot day or a hot sandwich to provide a cozy, comfort meal, it never disappoints.

Our favorite rye bread! It has an excellent flavor and the bread is nice and soft. It's more expensive than other brands and the store brand, and is less ounces, but it's worth it in my opinion. I'd definitely recommend this to others!

It's what we buy. Prefer the dark rye it has a richer rye flavour. We use for sandwiches and grilled cheese with young guns chopped green chili in it. Yum!

This bread is loaded with the appropriate minerals and fibers, yet with little sugar and only 80 calories for a good size bite. I take 1 slice for breakfast and my sugar level doesn't go up appreciably yet I got my required nutrients. 👍

This bread is too soft for sandwiches. It gets soggy with the least bit of sandwich spread. I like rye bread to be firmer to hold up to psdtrami lecctuce and a hardy spread sauce. But the bread was too wet for sandwiches.

This is just "Wonder Bread" dyed to look like dark rye with some fake rye bread smell added in. I know what refined wheat bread tastes like and I know what rye and pumpernickle grain tastes like but obviously this mfr. believes its customers are morons. But hey, isn't Wonder Bread supposed to be cheap??? This stuff costs alot more than the real pumpernickle and rye breads Walmart sells out of its in-store bakeries?!?
