it says kills on contact and I wanted to test it so since I also have fire ants in my yard I purposely put so on the mounds and continued putting it out on the yard. I checked back a few minutes later and there were hundreds of dead fire ants on top of the mound. since I put it out right before it was supposed to be light rain I didn't water it in. I've noticed that I'm not seeing any insects other than just now and then
This worked great for me. You have to make sure you are applying the right amount for what you want to control. I found that it needed to be the highest amount to actually control the bugs I wanted controlled, but after it adjusted it worked great to get rid of the ants and spiders. I would say the ease of use is easier than the liquid spray because you do not need to have the hose with you. I water it all in right away so dogs and other pets can go back on the next day.
Applied it almost two months ago and so far so good! We had bad ants and a mild skunk/mole problem (drawn by the grubs). No more ants, moles, or skunks!! A huge added bonus that it kills dead, ticks, and spiders as well! And very simple to apply with a spreader.
I used Ortho BugClear on my lawn this spring and saw results within days. Ants, ticks, and even grubs disappeared quickly, and the yard has stayed clear for months. The granules spread easily with a standard Scotts spreader, and watering them in was simple. I especially appreciate the long-lasting ant control—it's been over three months and no new mounds. Great product for anyone dealing with multiple lawn pests.
effective, have a large lot so cost is important, and it seems to work well enough no flea or tick issues
this product was recommended to me and was supposed to be one of the best flea Killers out there my dog is infested with fleas and I laid five bags down
We followed all of the instructions on how to apply and use this product. Also, there was some rainy days after we used it on our lawn. No one touched the grass for a week after treatment. We wanted to be sure and safe. And guess what? My dog has rashes on his belly and paws and all of us now have weird patchy rashes as well. And what about ants? They are still there. Same as spiders. I do not recommend this product. Especially if you have pets.
This repellent does not work. Do not waste your money. I applied to my front and back yard to repel and kill spiders and ants. Spiders and ants are still alive and thriving in both areas. The was no difference, so I did it a second round. The spiders and ants are still alive and thriving well. I will try another product that works as this one is such a waste and disappointment.
IT DID NOTHING!!! i put it all around the yard front and back before it rained then it rained got dry the next day still ants where there fleas spiders it was just a waste of money and time
This item was substituted for the scotts grub ex that was supposed to be delivered. The instructions on the back specifies that it will not work on lawn grubs. I had to make a trip into the store to return it (after paying to have it delivered) and it was very heavy to carry since I am 70 years old.
