I weigh about 245lb and this is the best pillow I found for keeping weight off my front pelvic area. This is important because I drive a bus for a living. The cushion does not compress a lot but is still comfortable, that is why it worked for me. I tried two other donut seat cushions before this one and this is hands down the best.

At first when I opened the package it was a very thin, hard donut. I've never had to use one before so i didn't know what to expect. I use it on my office chair and move it to my living room chair when watching tv. I swear on all that I love that it works. I can now sit up in bed at night without any discomfort or pain. It's been three days and I will always use it.

Its kind of hard, but it works. The opening at each end keeps you from sitting on your tailbone. Its size may be too small for some. I am a size 10. I like that I can take it with me to sit on when I go somewhere. I could not use it in the car because its too high. The light gray cover is nice and soft and removable.

This donut cushion was the firmest and best of three that I purchased. If you are 230 lbs, this donut will not squish flat like cheaper cushions made with less dense foam. If you can deal with the firmness, pressure sores will likely heal more quickly. And yes, it does retain body heat and the person using it should move often to avoid your bum getting uncomfortably warm. If your quite thin or prefer a soft seat cushion, this donut might be too hard to use.

This cushion has a beautiful velvety soft removable cover. It is comfortable to sit on and keeps my bottom from hurting. I was concerned because it's not as thick as I thought but doesn't flatten like others I've had. I really like it and would definitely recommend it.

Purchased this cushion to use after surgery to drive home with, a 4 hour drive. The cushion was too hard to sit on. I've even tried using it in the office at my desk chair and it's still too hard for my rear. It has been a complete waste of money for me.
