[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I returned the entire Bay package due to misleading advertising on your part. It was an extremely disappointing buying experience.
Carbon fiber paddles are much easier on your hands (smoother finish), more precisely adjustable, and very light so they won't weigh your shoulders down for long paddling sessions.
This is an excellent paddle, lightweight, adjustable, and easily portable. I have not rolled with it yet.
Very adjustable and light. Seems surprisingly good quality.
It’s lighter plus I like the adjustable length feature a lot. I know a lot about carbon fiber from building an experimental class airplane. Try google sites and knightflyr. It’s been years now but I think it’s still out there. I also use carbon fiber in violin repair. Try www.stringwizards.org. Terry
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am already considering fusing the quarter sections with epoxy resin later on after the steel pin begins to fail ( then find a rubber plug to pop through the pin hole) resulting in a half paddle system. I already own a carbon fiber paddle that costs quite a lot more and am overall satisfied with the oru carbon paddle at a very reasonable price for excellent performance quality!
Really good paddle, much more sturdy then I would have thought for a 4-piece. Lightweight. Would benefit from better drip rings that fit loose once adjusted.
It looks cool and it snaps together easily, but I had problems with the factory settings and will need to tighten the screws before I go out again. Otherwise, it worked okay as a paddle and I was able to maneuver around with it fairly easy despite it constantly shrinking and having to readjust it. I think it's an easy enough fix though and reminds me to keep my multi tool in my pocket next time I got out.
I love the weight of the paddle! Bummer is that the center needs to be screwed with a screwdriver every time Breaking down or setting up the paddle. Since I like it in the box that means EVERY time I Kayak. Wish is clicked together like the other paddles.
paddle sinks like a stone if water logged, was fishin didnt notice it fell off grabed my cheap oru paddle i had for a backup and it broke in half on first use while i saw my carbon pabble sink to the bottom, dont buy oru paddles.its a 1 star because 1 is minimun
