oscar de la renta barbie doll

I love this doll! The attention to detail is amazing. I saw a youtube de-boxing of her and the I had to have her. The box is amazing, and takes your breath away. I do wish the lid would fit on the back like the silkstone boxes instead of opening like a book but I forgive this since her presentation will make your mouth drop... expensive but the quality is worth every penny. She has a subtle beauty. This doll is the best barbie in years. I can't believe she is still available. The Robert Best sketch reveals what an amazing talent he has... so many museum worthy sketches for a man so young... just a genius fashion designer working on our iconic "Barbie". What a dream job!

Got this doll some time ago, she is the first designer bridal doll in many years and I could not resist that sky blue train. Pleasantly surprised by her and probably one of the best Barbie dolls this year along with Madame Lavinia and Charlotte Olympia. Pros: Brilliant accessories, all are metal/glass and exact replicas of the jewelry the runway model wore. Dress is fantastically made and soft to the touch with mini pearls going up her spine to hide the snaps which close the dress. Exclusive shoe design, they are ivory with gold accents. She has a skin tone underskirt which is then covered by the lace. Box is like a fortress, and each time its opened its like a blast of Summer thanks to the gorgeous white rose image they used to line the box. Cons: The price is very steep, I got this doll with 25$ off thanks to a promo code, but the work can be seen in the doll and I do not regret buying her. The box is very large so she will need quite a lot of display space if you keep her in her box like I do. Easily the most regal and serene looking doll in my collection. The sky blue train is complimented by the blue gems in her pendant which is then contrasted by the soft pink bouquet and the playful fuchsia color of her nails.

I don't know what took my breath away most of all; the doll itself or the box she's in? Both are simply stunning. Very well thought of. Bravo to the House of Oscar de la Renta and Barbie (Mattel) for creating such a beautiful doll. Glad to add her to my collection.

She is glamorous and elegant. A modern and unusual Oscar de la Renta design. I was surprised when I saw this doll because she is gorgeous, in person looks better.

I have all the collectible brides and this one can't compare with any of them. Next to Reem Acra and Carolina Herrera her quality is so poor - the makeup, the fabrics.. everything. The best thing about the doll is the box. And for that price, that's a little offensive.
