This is husbands second favorite luncheon meat mainly because the slices are thicker than deli sliced luncheon meat. His favorite is also Oscar Mayer, but a bird flavor.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The Oscar Mayer Chopped Ham %26 Water Deli Lunch Meat (16 oz) is a staple in my fridge! The slices are tender, flavorful, and versatile — perfect for sandwiches, wraps, or even quick snack plates. It has just the right balance of savory ham taste without being overly salty or processed. I love how easy it is to use straight from the package, and it holds up well whether I'm layering it on bread or mixing it into a salad. The generous 16-oz size gives great value and lasts through several meals. If you're looking for a reliable, tasty lunch meat that's great for everyday meals, this one's a winner. Easy to enjoy, kid-friendly, and consistently good quality. 🥪💛🔥
I have enjoyed Oscar Mayer chopped ham for more decades than I care to remember. Whether it was a lunch made by my beloved wife or just a quick snack, it was part of my original comfort food. Chopped ham, some bread, and a dollop of Miracle Whip along with a bag of Lay's potato chips, mam-o-man, you are set. It was great with beer or soda. It has always been and will continue be part of my frig goodies. If I did my job right, I introduced my 4 kids to a lifetime of food enjoyment. Oscar Mayer chopped ham is just one of their meat offerings with my frig goodies, but that story is for a different day.
I grew up on pressed ham and chopped ham is the closest to pressed ham. Since you can't find authentic pressed ham anymore. I digress and settle for chopped ham. I love the taste of chopped ham too and I buy it all the time. It last long time stays fresh.
It's clean ham that's obviously not cheap like some low priced canned hams I've seen. However, if you're used to the higher priced cold cut deli type ham, this ham will have a less attractive smell and taste. Probably a better ham for frying perhaps.
i always liked this product...but after it gets a little bit old losses it flavor drastically...good product could use a better way of the texture not getting a resiude like other old meats didnt check the date on it...but it "might" be old... might not...really good when fresh though
There was not a lot of flavor and certainly not the ham flavor I expected. The thickness was fine for a lunch sandwich before dinner, but I don't think I would have known it was ham, if I had been blindfolded. I would not recommend this meat product for a source of protein. I give it three stars just because it was just as advertised.
Would probably be a great product without the added fake smoke flavor. If you dnt mind fake smoke flavoring then you'll probably love this chopped ham loaf. I dont. Otherwise, it's got a good texture and even some decent ham flavor that comes through the "smoke". But, the fake smoke turns my stomach. I tried to eat a piece but threw it away, along with the rest of the package, after a couple bites.
My dissatisfaction is mostly my fault for thinking I was ordering a diced ham - but, gave it a shot still. No. If you're someone who likes processed food products, you will probably like this, but I am not into it. I wanted to order diced ham for quiche- so I still tried chopping some of this…. Omitted would have been best.its not my cup of tea that's for sure. It's like a byproduct- slices of compressed substance. I am sure there is a consumer base for it or it would be sold-
OSCAR MAYER 16 oz. Chopped Ham Slices - Not a good choice of deli meats. Read before eating! It was not the snack I expected. Do not waste your money💸 We can do better by remembering this processed meat as one going against elevated cholesterol and sodium counts - and we can do better! Remember your eyes saw it coming before your belly felt it! Read all labels! Take care of yourself and your body will take care of YOU.
