One of those foods that instantly remind me of cookouts, summer afternoons, and easy family dinners growing up. They're simple, dependable, and honestly hard to mess up whether you're grilling outside, boiling them for a quick lunch, or throwing them into chili dogs for game night. The flavor is classic — mild, smoky, and exactly what most people expect when they think of a traditional hot dog. What I like most is how convenient they are. They cook in minutes, kids usually love them, and they work for everything from backyard barbecues to late-night comfort food when you don't feel like making a big meal. Pros: Classic hot dog flavor that works well with almost any toppings Quick and easy to prepare on the grill, stovetop, or microwave Good value and convenient for family meals or cookouts Cons: Texture can feel a little soft compared to all-beef hot dogs Ingredients may not appeal to people looking for healthier options Flavor is pretty basic if you prefer gourmet or smoky-style sausages Summary: Overall, Oscar Mayer Classic Wieners are one of those reliable grocery staples that have been around forever for a reason. They're affordable, easy to make, and perfect for casual meals, cookouts, or feeding a crowd without spending much. Nothing fancy, but sometimes classic comfort food is exactly what you want.
Yes I can picture the big 'Winer Mobile' driving occasionally tossing out the same shaped whistle and, growing up and actually eating hot dogs! Yeah, they're still the best, OTC, for home consumption dogs around, in my mind, er.., mouth. I do admit wavering a bit on the out door BBQ. Let you know then.
A classic hot dog been around for a long time variety of flavors and sizes fast to cook in pan microwave grill a family stable in many houses very affordable a brand you can trust.
My family loves Oscar Mayer hotdogs for a quick lunch or dinner, we also like to grill them and dress them up with all the trimmings imaginable!! They're our favorites!!
I would recommend these classic hot dogs for grilling, but probably not cooked any other way. The texture felt too soft for my liking and tasted more processed than a full beef hot dog. These are not my first choice but fine if we're grilling for a crowd and fixing them up with plenty of toppings or for using as chili dogs with onions.
These are fine, just nothing special. They cook up quick and the kids will eat them, which is honestly the main reason I keep buying them. Good for easy meals when you need something fast. Flavor is okay, just kind of basic. Not bad, just not something I get excited about. They get the job done, but I have had better.
They're ok, when you're on a budget, but otherwise I'd pick Low sodium BH, Sabrett, or other name brand for much better texture and flavor. This is as low as I'd go, chicken, turkey or chicken hotdogs are disgusting, period.
I never received them but I was charged for them, this isn't the first time this happened either. I didn't know about the review page till today. I am an elderly woman in my 70's . I place the order and send family to make the pick up that live with me. Why take advantage? I shop there all the time...
item was delivered 1.5hrs B4 I was aware of delivery, left in direct 90° sun, so spoiled. Wasn't sure it was spoiled, fixed and ate 1... OH YES, SPOILED. How hard is it to ring a doorbell when customer is resting upstairs and asks delivery to ring bell!? Def taking chances with spoiled food in summer if you don't live in single story house, don't have phone glued to hand, aren't alert and watching constantly!! App is also not great at sending notice of delivery anymore.
I believe that someone needs to do a better job at training the personal shopper. This is not the first time that I've been given meet that looks expired and gray/green. Typically my kids put their snack food away but I just happen to do it myself. Thank goodness, because one of them would have ended up sick eating this.
