Although Oscar Mayer tends to be more expensive than other brands I feel it was worth it to get 2 of our favorite meats in one package. We have some picky eaters so didn't make many subs but used up.both meats about the same time. Probably won't buy frequently as Oscar Mayer has so many other choices in smaller amounts.
Great mix of turkey %26 ham... with .75 of baby swiss cheese, I have sandwiches for me for the week and with a can of Campbell's Chunky New England Clam Chowder, a feast for adult son %26 I on the weekend! And nary a sub in sight... LOL! Highly recommend.
Absolutely loaded and tasted fresh from the first bite to the last. The lunch meat sub kit made it quick and easy to throw together an awesome meal without sacrificing quality. Fresh ingredients, great flavor, and plenty to go around. Definitely grabbing this again!
this is a great packet to make a couple of sandwiches when you're on the Run. you can take the whole kit with you and your cooler a few slices of bread and you're good to go. the slices are thick they're not the see-through type, you can make wraps with these with a few tortilla shells really easy, and chop them up for salad. all kinds of uses for the right kind of money.
The bag is always filled with air like it's going bad regardless of the date. The smell, consistency and taste are always consistent and good. $10ish for a big chunk of turkey and ham doesn't seem bad to me in this economy and it's perfect for a picnic.
Most of the time this is a great purchase for sub Sandwiches. However I have purchased this product and the ham and turkey are slightly “greasy”. Not sure if they were delivered that way or if it's the store that sells them. Maybe just left out a little too long. Just be careful with this product.
I don't know if the package was getting ready to expire when I bought it or not. I accidentally checked the date because I had delivered to the house but it was in the refrigerator less than 2448 hours and the package died swelling so that was a meat that I just had to get rid of maybe they checked the maybe I would check the expiration date next time on to make sure that I got some fresh meat.
I have purchased this items for a while now and the last few times I had to throw some of the meat away because it had a lot of white stuff on it. I don't know whether it was fat/grease but I couldn't eat it. It is usually good and I love making sandwiches with it.
After two days in the fridge, the meat went bad. The smell was horrible, it was slimy and expiration date was 05/15/26… it didn't even make it a couple days in the fridge unopened. When I opened, I found what was smelling up my fridge. NOT worth the money!!! Extremely disappointed!! Extremely dangerous!!
Ham contained a lot of fat and gristle. Should have known better than to order because Oscar Mayer ham lunch meat has been that way for quite some time now. Turkey was not very good either—the texture is weird and unpleasant. Pretty tasteless lunch meat overall. Do yourself a favor and buy your lunch meat from the deli!
