I received this item for no cost in exchange for my review of it. I am very pleased with the Oster electric carving knife. The first thing I noticed was the sturdy case that was included. The handle is easy to grip and is well balanced. The blades are easy to attach and remove and easy to clean. Finally, a fork is included which makes it easy to carve with. I would recommend this item for its usefulness and quality.

All I can say is wow to the Oster Electric Knife! I assembled the electric knife, plugged it in, and pressed start to make sure it worked. It's not as quiet as I thought it would be, but it works! The first thing I cut was a loaf of French bread. I cut the bread into 1/4 inch slices (big enough for snacks) to use with some spread I bought. The process was very easy. The result: 36 smoothly cut slices! The knife cuts very smoothly and oh so accurately! I had to laugh at myself though because my "project" of cutting the bread sounded like something from a wood shop class (minus the safety goggles). :-) Either way, this knife is really neat. The handle gets a little warm after extended use though, but I don't think it's anything to worry about. It is an electric item. The next thing I cut was a rotisserie chicken from my local grocery store. Can I just say, I love this thing! Smooth clean cutting! I even tested to see if it would cut through a piece of the leg bone, and it did! This was a smaller chicken though. I surely wouldn't try that again. I just wanted to see how strong the knife was. With it cutting through the bone like that, this tells me that any meat will have a clean smooth cut with this knife. And the work is oh so effortless!!!! And if you're wondering about how the product cleans up: a breeze! Oh, and the case helps for easy storage. I received this knife as a sample to review. :-)

This electric knife was not only a great carving knife, it was fun to use! Everything I use this knife for slices easily and has a smooth cut. This is an extremely user-friendly knife. Returned because the price at Amazon, Target, Kohls and several other places was $25 - with free shipping. I purchased a Black and Decker electric knife, no storage case at Walmart for $12.98 . It is a replacement for a 45 year old electric knife from S

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This electric knife cuts well and isn't very loud which I liked. Unlike other knives I've used this knife didn't feel like it was going to vibrate out of my hands, and it comes with a nice, durable storage case. It cut through fresh bread, toasted bread and meat very cleanly but I didn't notice a huge difference between using this knife and my own carving or bread knives. I was very disappointed in the way this product preformed. I received the product as a sample to test for quality and would not recommend it to anyone. The quality of the case and accessories far out does the quality of the product. The only way that it would cut was if I had pressed down and sawed my way through. The way the blades cut was just not worth the extra effort of using the machine I could've used a knife easier. The double blades are hard to insert into the machine but come apart easily to clean.

This thing would not slice hot butter; My right arm is in a sling from surgery, it would not slice a prime rib no bone!

Can't slice turkey or ham with it

I was so excited to get this and have one hand. The first time out of the nice case and it won't cut, the motor runs, but there is no movement in the blades. I opted out of free returns and am seriously disappointed with this knife. My last electric knife I had for twenty years before it gave out.
