Oster Performance Blender with FoodSaver Vacuum Sealing System, Brushed Nickel

I loved this product, but it broke after a few uses. The little dial on the lid is what broke and I'm not even sure how it happened. I have contacted them to see if they can send me a replacement lid. I will gladly change my review if they accommodate my request because the product is otherwise great. But without the dial on the lid working, the vacuum functionality is rendered useless.

I'm still trying to figure out why I can do the same steps one day and get the correct results but follow the same steps the next day and it does something totally different.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got the Oster Blender roughly two weeks ago. Right away we unpackaged it (it was well protected), cleaned it up (soap and water rinse), and set to making smoothies. Initial thoughts: Comes with all you need to blend a great smoothie -- a blender with a strong auto-pulsing motor (adjustable time and pulse settings for various blending tasks) and sharp blades, a decent blending jar that can be vacuum sealed, and a fairly sturdy cup in which to pour your smoothie (also vacuum seal-able). Overall: For having only four blades at the bottom of the mixing jar, the blender made one heck of a smooth smoothie. It did bog down once; but, we added more OJ and the blender powered through the rest. The vacuum seal technology works great -- both blender jar and cup have air valves that allow you easily to open their seals. There are many potential uses for this feature. If I had bones to pick, it would be these. One, everything is plastic -- the blending jar, the cup, everything short of the blending knives. It all seems strong and while I get a plastic cup, a glass blending jar would seem more premium (although it would likely increase the cost). And, two, I would've loved it the cup would have had a way to attach the blending knives to it from the bottom -- to allow you to blend a single-serve smoothie and to allow for easier cleanup (although cleanup was generally very easy). In general, I can recommend the Oster blender. Like I said, it made a mean mango strawberry smoothie. The wife and kids all loved them. I'm sure you and yours will too.

The food saver vacuum seal keeps Oxygen out of your food, and keeps the vitamins and nutrients in. It has a very simple and easy to use panel. It allows you to select Smoothie or food chop option, also has a built in timer showing you how long you've blended. It has three speeds low medium and high, As well as stop/play and pulse button. And only on the manual low setting will it allow you to add food or liquids. The locking mechanism makes the seal tight for vacuum sealing and will not turn on unless properly secured. This is a fabulous feature to eliminate messy accidents! Also very easy to clean and dishwasher safe.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] OMG this Oster Blender with Vacuum Technology exceeds my expectations because so far I have made smoothies and its new innovative Vacuum Technology saves me time since I do not have to go back to blend leftovers when liquid settles at the bottom and pulp at the top, the Oster Blender with Vacuum Technology eliminates that problem leaving my smoothie with a smoother texture, without separation ready to pour and enjoy for a later time. Oster Blender with Vacuum Technology is so easy to use, very powerful and comes with great features like Digital Timer which allows you to see how long you are blending (which to me is an energy safer), another energy safer is that it is pre-programmed to turn off automatically if not used for a period of several minutes, gives you the options to use Manual Modes or Pre-Programmed Food Mode Settings, a choice to Blend only, Vacuum only or Vacuum and Blend for your convenience, has a 6-Point Blade Assembly to ensure everything gets blended/chopped, comes with a Vacuum Storage Cup for on the go or store for later among other great features to much to write you need to get one :). This New Oster Blender with Vacuum Technology is an appliance everyone should own since it really works great and gives you a FIVE STAR experience in your own home. I am very SATISFIED and HAPPY that I have one :)

When I heard about vacuum blenders, I immediately started doing my research, and right away wanted to make the switch. When I got my Oster Vacuum blender and made my first smoothie, I was surprised with the difference in texture and consistency! I never knew how frothy and chunky my smoothies were before. Now they are SO smooth, no weird foam at the top, and chunk free. In love with everything about this blender! It looks great with my other silver appliances, All If the different functions is offers, High quality, and very easy to clean. You can choose between Smoothie or Food Chop. Pros: locking lid, 2.5 hp motor, laser cut blades, 10 speeds, timer, 64oz container and a plunger. This machine leaves no ice chunks and blends everything perfectly (hot or cold) plus it has 6 pre settings and a recipe book. Low noise and self cleaning capabilities. The Maxi Pro digital blender is awesome.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely fell in LOVE with this blender! I hardly eat breakfast but I was tempted to try out the smoothie button and wow I was amazed at it. So rich and smooth. My old blender had a smoothie button as well but it doesn't compare to the one on this blender! And then it came with a storage cup that's easy to take smoothies on the go with its absolutely awesome!
