Love this blender

Puppy June 27, 2016

Bought this blender last February and use it daily for smoothies and with the food processor attachment to make hummus. It's the best, much better than our previous Vitamixer, and more versatile. We are having a small problem with the blender motor "stalling out". All it takes to get it going is to take the blender off the base, turn it off, and turn the motor by hand a half turn, and then the blender will work again. No biggie, but an annoyance. Does anyone else have this problem? Other than that this is the best blender and food processor combo for the money we have ever had, and we've had quite a few!

I love this blender

Cube 0 August 18, 2016

I have bought nija and then bullet... After a while, I want to upgrade to a more powerful blender. I did a lot of research and I really want the powerful blenders like Vitamix or Blendtec, but I am not willing to pay for the high prices. Luckily, I found Oster. After using this blender for almost half a year. I am planning 2 more as gifts to my co-workers.

Absolutely Fantastic!!!

Alto August 26, 2016

I purchased the Oster 1200 plus to replace my ninja. Let me tell you, it's the best thing since "sliced bread" not that I didn't like my ninja, I just didn't like the plastic jar when I had to blend things that required extremely hot water. What I didn't expect was for the Oster to also out perform my ninja, everything I did with it just hands down out performed my ninja from smoothies to milkshakes and food processing. I had this baby for about 4 months now and I am LOVING IT! I use it everyday and it is absolutely the best even when it comes to the price. So, do not hesitate to purchase the Oster 1200 Plus. The FOUR Great things you need, all in one.

MerrellOBrian64 February 17, 2016

You must be careful watching YouTube videos and reading reviews, especially those who favor the Breville product line. They pay actors to play parts (chefs, dieter clubs and "professionals"). However, from such a video, I did learn the four elements to a GREAT blender, and this one has all of them: -Metal to Metal contact motor parts, not plastic. -More than 700 watts in the motor -A large base in a GLASS carafe -A large blade which covers most of the bottom This unit has all these things and is half the price of the Breville, a quarter of the price of a Vitamix. Everything you are looking for in a blender!

PJUpNorth January 1, 2016

We were searching for a blender that could power through kale and frozen fruit breakfast smoothies and this model is it. With just a push of the pre-programmed smoothie button, this blender quickly begins to automatically mix, oscillating left, right, which pulls the ingredients down towards the blades then finishing at the highest speed. I no longer have to stop my blender to periodically push down the ingredients, thanks to the powerful dual direction blade technology and wide glass jar. The end result is the smoothest product with only the smallest of particles remaining. Works beautifully for blending ingredients for soup. This blender is relatively quiet and easy to clean. Smoothie cup is a bonus for on the go breakfasts. We have tried other blenders, without pleasing results. Do not hesitate, this blender is a tremendous product at a great price! Good functionality

mgphoto June 2, 2016

Just received our blender -- have trusted Oster products for years with our last purchase over 20 years ago and it finally gave out -- The functionality of this product is good but it lacks greatly in appearance. The color description as stated is "brushed nickel". The finish is actually a cheap plastic chrome and not brushed as it appears in the photograph.

Awesome ! (but can use some improvement)

strange_steve August 16, 2016

First the thing is great! I love the back and forth motion of the motor. The unit is very noisy, but its definitely a powerful motor. Perhaps a bit too powerful - as the main spine that sticks up worked loose, sadly the threads were the only thing holding in in place (it wasnt also pinned). Another disappointing thing were the smootie cups there is a gap between the inside part of the cup and where the threads are molded in, regeretablly food gets stuck in there making it hard to remove and one there it gets stuck and spoils, making the smoothie cup less than hygienic. Dont get me wrong this blender is awesome just hoping the main spine could be pinned as well as threaded into the top. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

it's ok

Hello Kitty December 24, 2015

Not bad but not great. On the pre-programmed smoothie setting, it splatters everything all over the bottom of the lid and all over the blender, so I have to keep stopping it and using a spatula to scrape the splattered stuff back into the jar. Like some of the other reviews, the base isn't very sturdy and shakes a lot while blending. And I also smell a burning smell sometimes while blending. Don't know if I'll keep it or return it.

Everything great but it doesn't work!

JCtheunhappysmoothiemakr March 23, 2017

gave away my 20 year old basic Oster for this new more powerful and pretty blender :). Sadly, it was a big disappointment. I do thick smoothies, so it is so powerful that it creates an air pocket and it doesn't mix at all. I need to water it down to make it like a juice. tried different ways with no luck.:( [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
