my old one lasted 2 years through many falls and bumps. I upgraded to a new color of the same item and love it (purple) . i couls not figure out how to get the original one on so ill let you know: peel off the subber layer at the edges and then unsnap all the connector points. then put your phone inside and reassemble. Order came in the timeframe given.
Many OtterBox Defenders (with belt clip) many different model Cells, many decades, at construction sites. Ive dropped it weekly on hard concrete, from windows, hand offs, etc. Phone hit so hard many times the belt clip seperates phone tumbles. This OtterBox case is the defender of my Business on my Cell, it protects my finances, business contacts, investments, security camers & all those Apps i use to generate income. That is what the Defender series OtterBox does for me. Decades later i still have my unbroken old cases.
My previous Otter Box lasted 5 years through some pretty tough treatment (mine). I wouldn't consider any other kind of case.
Having two layers of Otterbox cases saved my phone when it fell ten stories from my balcony! All that I needed was a new screen! 😀 ❤️
Not really a review, but really nice phone case. Took 3 years for my original one to fully give out, so I decided to get a new one and it doesn't disappoint!
Its got the same defensive quality as it ever had but now it doesn't have the screen protector as before. I'm not as comfortable using a screen protector thats just a piece of film covering the screen but there wasn't a choice to get one like before.
I have always bought and will continue to buy the Defender Pro Drop+ case for every smartphone I purchase because it is a quality product that protects my phone through all the challenges of working construction. My only complaint is the inevitable loss of the small flap that covers the charging port after substantial use. I think this element could be engineered better.
Excellent case as always by Otterbox. I've run Otterboxes on all my phone and have never cracked a screen even when it flew out the window at highway speeds. With this particular one my only complaint is with the belt clip, I usually put the screen in to protect it when riding but when I do this, there is a clicky gap. I'll say this clip feels a little flimsier than the one on my iphone but it still has the same features. It's not all bad thouigh, the rotating clip itself is stiffer in all the clicks which is nice. Otterbox, bring back the super beefy rubberized cases, guys like me don't need thin, non-bezeled cases.A nice addition to this lineup would be one with a built in plastic screen protector. But overall a very solid case that I have no fears about dropping.
Overall I'm pleased with the construction quality as I am with all Otterbox cases. That being said, the cover on the charging port flips up rather than down which is a mild inconvenience.
Not a fan of this new case for the S22. I have owned many OtterBox cases as I work commercial construction and they all have outlasted the phones in most cases. This case however is loose on the phone body, and most annoying the phone can only click into the holder one way as the buttons on the phone get in the way of clicking it in from both sides. I've already had the phone pop out of the case twice. Once while belly crawling through an attic space and was unable to take photos once I reached my destination, because I had no phone. I had to back track my way back out searching for the phone the whole time. Not impressed.
