The best at phone protection I literally drove over my phone with my truck. Not a scratch on my phone however I did have to replace my Otterbox Defender
I usually see a phone case as just a case but this OtterBox is awesome if your looking for max protection for your iPhone 12 Mini. The hard plastic shell completely surrounds and protects the phone. Whereas I'm not going to drop my phone just to test the case, I'm very confident that the case will do its job and then some. The built-in belt clip is nice and holds the case snuggly to whatever it is you wish to clip it to. I would recommend this to friends and family if they have the requisite phone.
Otter box is one of the best known case companies out there and for good reason. This case is as good as gets in terms of design, protection, and functionality. All of the buttons work perfectly and even have a better feel making it easier to lock my iPhone or put the volume up and down. I can confirm that the case does allow for wireless charging because that is what I use in my car. The feel of the case is excellent and provides a better grip on my large iPhone 12 Pro Max. Even the camera in the back is pretty much protected as it never touches a surface when laid down. The thing that really stood out for me was the curved lip on the top and bottom. You don't notice it at first but it's a very clever design adding even more protection to the screen but not making the case thicker overall.
I bought this a few weeks ago for my new iPhone 12 mini so far I have been super happy with it. I love the feel of the rubber it's not to sticky that it pulls your pant pocket inside out. I love the fact that I can wireless charge threw the case even though it super protective and strong. The buttons are not hard to press and are still super clicky. The case has a really nice lip around the screen and the camera bump in the back. For anyone wondering if the iPhone 12 mini case screen issue apple fixed that in an update. overall this is an amazing case and would highly recommend.
I bought this case for protection of my phone and the fact that it was compatible with MagSafe charger. However MagSafe wouldn't adhere to case at all had to try and line it up perfectly and lay it on top of MagSafe to charge it and it would still lose connection at slightest movement. If you want a case compatible with MagSafe this is not the case for you!!!
Plastic casing fits well and offers solid protection, and the rubber protective cover over the plastic makes for superb phone body protection. BUT: there is no screen protection, AND, infuriatingly, you cannot use a magnetic Apple charger with back rubber case in place! Rubber must be removed, and phone with plastic protective cover painstakingly placed precisely over the charger.
It's okay, I love the slimmer design. But after about two to three weeks the case is really loose on the inside. It has very noticeable sounds and feels of squeaks and cracking, it loses it's sturdy feel and solidness in no time! I know it's all about protecting the phone and all, and wear and tear will happen. But it should not happen so fast for a case that is so expensive. And the belt holster for it, is not as thick and strong as the ones in the past. It seems like the best built defenders was for the iPhone 7 and 8. I would recommend this defender case for the 12 Pro Max if you just don't care and really want to protect your phone to the fullest. Just, be prepared to deal with the loose feels of the case with squeaking and cracking sounds, while typing or hitting the power button etc. Defenders are the way to go for these really expensive phones, it would just be nice to have a nice and tight built case feels pretty solid for a while. That won't feel like you had it for a while in a very short amount of time.
This is not a magsafe case and I don't own any magsafe chargers and other reviews said this case worked with regular chargers. It does not; only about 1/50 times will it successfully charge wirelessly. It's sturdy and looks good. Pretty thick, but I wanted it to be safe.
Wireless charging not working. Works if I take off the rubber silicone and just have the plastic frames but the moment I put the rubber casing on the wireless charging does not work. The defender case on my previous XS Max worked fine. This one isn't work on the iPhone 12 Pro Max. Pretty disappointing. Please help!
I bought this soon as I got my iPhone 12 Max. I always buy the Defender case for all my iPhones. Biggest issue is that it says it wirelessly charges, it does not with the MagSafe wireless charger for the iPhone 12. I got it to connect once moving it around to find the sweet spot. You could spend an hour trying to position it to get it to charge the phone, also there is no protection for the screen you have to now buy the screen protector separate when previous versions protected the screen. This case went from being the best hands down to the worse as its design did not evolve with the needs of the new iPhone 12. I'm surprised it can even claim on the packaging to be used for wireless charging. Previous versions of the Defender were so good you didn't even need to buy phone insurance. This one is terrible, I've never minded the higher cost on older models because I knew what I was getting. This one is not worth the money. I've purchased the defender on two previous iPhone for reference.
