I've been an Otterbox case fan. I've had the bulky Defender Pro series for protection. Now, with this clear case, the protection isn't diminished and it has a pop socket! I think only time will tell if it yellows which is very likely. But I love the pop-socket feature which is convenient when propping up the phone. Although my 12 mini is already small, the pop-socket makes it even easier to hold the phone one-handed.
Product is brand new, sealed in the box. It appears to be a brand new OtterBox. It fits my iPhone 12 mini perfectly. Excellent value for the price of the case. I don't normally use pop sockets but this one seems to function well as a stand to watch videos on. I am happy with this case.
Perfect fit, with great protection for my phone. I trust Otterbox to protect my phone.
The front trim and buttons should be highly polished and sparkly, not dull. The iPhone 12 Pro steel is absolutely gorgeous but with this case, you can not see it.
I'm in the process of returning the item now. Great case, but the pop socket is built into the case and it dips inside of it so it's fairly flush when it's closed, but because of that it doesn't extend far enough out. I've got big hands and can barely get my fingers under the pop socket. My wife's pop socket works fine on her phone because it's attached to the outside of the case as opposed to built into it.
I love the durability of the case and the colors, however, with the new IPHONE 12 pro plus it doesn't work with the magnetic charging or the car vent holders. It's because of the Pop Socket which is why I love this case but It would be nice if you could fix this issue.
I have used Otterbox cases since I have had an iPhone (5). I just got the 12 pro max and because I have always used a popsocket on my phones I figured the integrated case/socket would be perfect. I find this case to be slippery and tougher to grip. The pop socket does not extend far enough to slide my fingers under for a secure hold. I think that is due to the socket base extended into the case itself. Also when using the socket as a stand the phone keeps falling over. I hope otterbox revises this case to better fit the larger and heavier iPhone 12 max.
Because the pop socket is sunken in the case, I couldn't fit my fingers behind the pop socket. And the case wouldn't stand up on its side on a table so I could watch a video. I unfortunately had to return it. I ordered the otter box symmetry and a pop socket instead.
I got this when I bought my 12 Pro Max. its very pretty, but the pop socket feature doesn't actually work. I can use it in my hand to hold it, but if I try to use it to prop my phone up on a table it falls right over. I would recommend a phone case and pop socket that come separately. When you close the socket the phone still wobbles, it doesn't lay flat on the table, which I thought was the purpose of being built “into” the phone case... I wouldn't recommend...especially for the price.
I've been used this case for about a week now and here is what I've found. The material is tough but feels cheap. The edges have a softer material which is nice though. Unfortunately the clear case shows EVERY finger print as well. It looks dirty very fast. It is VERY difficult to get the iPhone in and out of the case. I feel like I'm about to break my phone anytime I do either. The worst part is the pop socket itself. The iPhone is too heavy for it. If I try to prop my phone on a table, it just falls over. I've tried several different positions and in 1 way I can get it to work for a few minutes but any touching of the device or movement of the table causes it to call. Then because the pop socket collapses into the case for a smooth back, which is nice, it gives little room for your fingers when holding. My wife has one of the pink versions of this case and has the exact same issues. I would avoid this case.
