My wife and I bought our 16 year old son a new iPhone 12. Knowing his history with electronic devices, I insisted he put the new phone in an Otter Box. Sure enough, within about a week, the phone took a swim in an unpleasant place and survived as a result of being in the Otter Box!
This is my second OtterBox. They do a great job of protecting your phone, they provide a sure grip and best of all, the clear case allows you to see that special color you selected. Also, the buttons operate easily, as if there were no case on the phone.
I've had several Otterbox cases and I wouldn't buy anything else. The last one I had did it's job when my phone fell onto a concrete floor. The case cracked but the phone was untouched. Otterbox replaced it for no charge, no questions asked. I recently got the iPhone 12 Pro and purchased the Symmetry case for it. I love all the sparkles and the phone shows through. Why buy a case and cover up the pretty? It was a snug fit and getting it on took some muscle but it
Initially, I thought I would have to return it because it only covered the back I have no idea what I was thinking because most of the cases I had were like that. When it arrived, it was thin and light enough to go into my iPhone Crossbody bag. It's also very stylish and I love the Stardust look. It was definitely worth the money and it was easy as pie to insert the phone into it.
I usually buy a heavy duty black Otter Box (because I swear by them). But this time I chose clear bc I wanted to see the phone color (blue). I'm happy w my choice but assume this will show more wear and tear. It doesn't feel as tough as my previous Otter Boxes but time will tell!
I've always liked OtterBox cases. With many drops over the years, my phone has almost always been well-protected. One time, a toddler kick to the phone and landing on bricks got the better of the last symmetry series clear case I had, but nothing fatal to the phone. This 12 version of the case also seems to be protective. It has a nice slim profile, I like the clear series to enjoy the look of the phone itself, and the gold floral design I selected hides scratches nicely. The only aspects I don't like: 1) it's harder to get on than past products I've used, and 2) there is a space running between the hard case and gel case components that will gather dirt and feels rough on the back bottom edge.
Happy with purchase but wish it had something covering the bottom charging ports. Dropped my phone into water accidentally just days after putting in new case. It survived but water did get in the charging port. Fortunately it dried overnight. Everywhere else the case was air tight and kept the water out for the few seconds it took me to retrieve it.
I bought this for my new phone and I am happy that I did. It is not bulky for my hands and my phone is secure for it is hard to take off. I enjoy that it is not easy to come off I feel my phone is safer this way.
I bought the clear case to show off the nice new blue color of my iPhone, but the case was incredibly hard to put on! I had to watch a YouTube video to figure out how to put on the case without cracking my iPhone. And I have no clue how to take it off.. The case on the iPhone is good, it doesn't feel as protective as Otterbox's other cases, but I understand it is the symmetry version. Next time, I will not be buying this case, I will stick with my usual Defender Otterbox.
The case is not really clear, but extremely glittery. I'm a 60-year-old father, and have gotten dozens of comments about the case, basically saying it's more appropriate for a 12-year-old girl. I'm holding onto it because it cost me so much, and just because I'm stubborn. But I really would've liked a clear case.
