OUIDAD Advanced Climate Control Heat & Humidity Gel – Stronger Hold 8.5oz/250ml

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ouidad advanced, climate control, heat, and humidity gel holds my daughter‘s curls and my curls great. I love the consistency of the gel that it's not overly thick and can be easily raked through our curls. The gel cast it leaves when crunching it out, does not leave any flakes behind. There is no scent to this so for some could be a bad thing could be a good thing. It's up to the person really matter to me. It is a little more on the pricey side, but you get what you pay for. I can definitely tell the difference between this and my five dollar gel. And I thought there wasn't a difference. Beforehand, that gel was gel. Because I had never splurged on myself before and now I don't think I can go back to that five dollar gel.

It's easy to manage and absorbs quickly! It smells great, controls, the frizz while still leaving my hair soft, without the “crispy” feeling. Overall, i would recommend this product!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Fellow curly-haired people who live in the South, you NEED to get the Ouidad Advanced Climate Control Heat and Humidity Gel (Stronger Hold)!! I have long, fine 3B hair that will hold curls easily but is very prone to frizz with the humidity we have here in South Louisiana. I always look for products to help keep the frizz at bay while also being lightweight. Ouidad Climate Control Gel does just that! It gives my hair a great cast (if you don't know what that is, go look it up on a few curly method pages and thank me later-it's a game changer for staying power with fine hair) that I can even sleep in after washing. [See my picture for what my cast looks like when I wake up, before styling.] All I do is apply any product(s) with Ouidad Gel being last, use a curl defining brush to help the clumps form, reapply a bit of Ouidad Gel if any smoothing is needed, do a plop for a short time, then diffuse upside down... Done! Once I'm ready to style and break the cast, I soften it with a bit of hair oil and my curls are still completely defined and frizz free. I will continue to use and recommend Ouidad Climate Control Heat and Humidity Gel (Stronger Hold) because it is perfect for fine curly hair!

It's a lightweight, non-sticky gel that's easy to apply and evenly distributes throughout my hair. I applied a small amount to section of my hair using a curl brush the scrunch. As a result, I have no frizz or flyaways, and my curls are shiny and have a flexible hold.

A little crunchier than I'd prefer but the results held for days after. It doesn't have a strong scent and it kind of just melted into my hair.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great gel that goes on smooth. The picture of the looser curls was taken after 5+ hours in 20+ mph winds at a graduation and celebration! Even though my curls seemed closer to waves after all that wind there was no frizz and I still got compliments. I like that it doesn't flake. I used it on air dried hair and got looser waves which I liked and diffused gives me tighter curls. I also added a little to my hair to throw it in a sleek bun. It worked well to keep my hair smooth. Over all a very good product that I felt good using this on its own to get the results I wanted.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This gel had a great hold, but I struggled just a little bit with some of my unruly baby hairs that have a mind of their own. Overall, I was impressed with the job it did on my *wavy* hair and will reach for it again!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The packaging of this product makes it very easy to dispense. I like to squeeze a decent size amount to my palm, rub my hands together and disperse throughout my hair. It's not as sticky as I thought it would be. It does have a nice hold to it though. I applied, let it air dry, and in checking on my hair about 5 hours later, I noticed my curls looked intact and had a nice shine to them!

However it is does have a very hard cast that will need to be scrunched out if wanting a softer result. I did find it also leaves behind a white cast which can be frustrating and resulted in having to wash it out. May be better suited for slick backs.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I thought this product was okay, I have mostly wavy hair with a few random curly strands. I used it after the shower and my hair was still frizzy afterwards. It could be worse, but I wasn't necessarily stoked over the results; especially for the price but maybe it might work better for other hair types.
