My dog is crazy about this toy. I opened it and she knew it was for her and has carried it around with her since. It's the perfect size for any type dog. No stuffing inside so no mess. That was a plus because my dog loves stuffing! The squeaker isn't overly loud but if it was continuously squeaked than it'd probably get irritating.( My daughter done that) most dogs aren't going to do it too much. Seems very durable and made well.
I must say I am impressed with this dog toy! My dachshund is an extremely tough chewer that destroys toys in minutes! When I first saw this arrive, I figured it would only last 10 minutes! Well, he’s had it for an hour and it is still in tack!!! The squeaker is still squeaking and I can only imaging that he has punctured it by now. Definitely impressed and would recommend for tough chewers!!!
My doggie loves it. He goes crazy for any squeaky toy. Great quality. Very strong for a smaller dog. I would buy another one if I can find one in stores.
We have a very active and full time chewer fur-baby (he is an American Saffordshire Terrier) that loves to play with all kinds of toys, but since receiving this Mini Duck, two weeks ago, it has become his absolute favorite: He takes it with him everywhere! He chews it all the time, but the toy still looks great and in perfect shape, it hasn’t even faded colors at all, and the squishy capsule inside of it (which makes the sound) still works like the first day, all of this even after everything my dog has done to it, lol! Pretty impressive!
I have a 2 year old pitbull sweetheart. She is a self pronounced lapdog but can chew toys to pieces in minutes. I've only found one brand that has lasted more than a day, until now. I had no faith in this cute little duck standing up to her jaws. The first day she didn't seem enthused. It had been awhile since her last squeaker, so she seemed unsure of it's purpose. The next day she started enjoying it. She chews it, throws it herself to catch and even rolls on it, to squeak or scratch her back maybe? We play fetch or she just walks around squeaking it. (Pretty light weight so it doesn't throw very far) If it weren't so cute, it might get annoying. After a week I am excited to see it mostly intact. One part of the seam is torn open but the squeaker still squeaks. It looks pretty good after 6 days use. I imagine it could last a month or two, maybe more with my extreme chewer. I must also mention that touching it after a chew session is not disgusting. It doesnt seem to absorb much moisture. Gotta say that's a plus in my book.
This toy is the perfect size for our little shih tzu. It's small enough for her to pick up and carry around, plus the it has a great squeak that isn't annoying! The packaging even says it will continue to squeak even if punctured - it's tough enough that I'm sure she won't be able to puncture it, but that's a nice feature! This toy has plush areas, which she likes, and has a very strong binding. It will last our pup for a very long time!
[Employee of walmartcanada] My bichon frise puppy loves this toy, but I love it even more. The sound this toy makes is pretty unique (actually sound like a duck) and really nice contrast to all the other dog toys that make a similar high pitched squeak sound. I got this on sale, I recommend.
I received this dog toy and I’m very pleased with it. It’s a nice and durable toy and the squeaky part inside is very loud, which of course my dog enjoys. I haven’t had this toy long but feel it’s good quality. It has survived several play dates with my dog, granted she’s only a teacup yorkie. My friend brought her pit bull over a couple days ago and her dog played with it too. I machine washed it after and it washed nicely. I did let it air dry. I would say these toys are durable and well constructed, and would be suitable for both small and large breed dogs. Overall I am very pleased and will shop this brand in the future.
My larger dog has not taken to this. It sat unused, even trying to create excitement over it, all I got was meh. Maybe it's the smell. I don't know. She seems to prefer more 3-dimensional babies. She treats them gently, so they survive longer. One suggestion I have is maybe give this larger one to a smaller dog. You know, feed your fur baby's ego. It's flat enough to fit smaller mouths, but it's larger than most small dog toys. This seems like it's engineered to survive a rabid wolves...
Let me start by saying that my 1 yr old Mastiff/Am Staff mix destroys every "durable" plush toy in minutes, like it's his job. I honestly didn't have much hope for this one but it survived for approx 20 minutes...and that's saying a lot. He did puncture the squeaker and make it inoperable, and I had to take it away from him once he got the seam open because the toy is pretty small. They claim it's good for all size dogs but I'd say for small to med dogs only (he's about 100 lbs and could swallow it). If your dog doesn't make it it's mission in life to kill toys then this is a pretty tough toy, especially for the cost.
