The product itself is great. I can assure you that it is sturdy because the only problem I had with this is the way it was delivered. The box was smashed up. I was very surprised to still see the glass not broken.
The fluid level lines are not readable! My vision is very poor as it is, so maybe take this advice to heart if the company reads this. But I really love French press coffee!
