Japanese quality
As a kid, anything Japanese was considered junk or low quality. That was always undeserved in my opinion. Most of those sentiments stemmed from leftover emotions from the Second World War. Anything Japanese, be it automobiles, electronics, kitchen knives, or fishing equipment, is guaranteed to be of a superior quality. These hooks are no exception. They appear to be extremely sharp and tough, and will no doubt help me land many a panfish in the future. The war was 8 decades ago. Branch out a little.

My favorite panfish hook is the Owner size 10 mosquito. Sticky sharp, this hook takes wary fish from heavily pressured park ponds with almost no gut hooked fatalities, and is a perfect companion for waxies or other very small baits.
