great to open smaller jars.
I can open small to medium sized jars easily. doesn't work on larder lids such as 60 oz. peanutbutter

A great little kitchen tool

Works great!
This is the best jar opener on the market today. Honestly, you don't even spill the juice from the pickle jar. It's so easy. Open large and small items. Great for everyone, especially older folks.

Needs to open jars with about a 3 inch diameter.
Wanted to use the opener on large lids, such as the lids on the grapefruit jars. The lids are about 3 inches in diameter (or slightly more).

Poor materials
I have had two of these and both broke apart when opening larger jars (spaghetti sauce and salsa). It's not like I have super strength to over torque it. The only metal parts are the teeth and screws. Not at all my experience with other Oxo products.
