It comes with every thing you need for a day out hiking. I gave my 5 year old the whistle in case he wondered of ( he did not) but I rather have it and not need it, then need it and not have it, saftey first. I really love the walking stick and the compass. Great addition to and camping trip or nature walk.

This is the perfect gift for anyone who likes to camp or go hiking. There are so many useful tools in this kit. This kit comes with a trekking pole, compass, bear bell, emergency blanket, a regular flashlight, a headlamp, a compass and so much more. I really like the trekking pole because it is very lightweight and can be folded up when not in use. It can easily fit in a book bag without taking up much room. The headlamp is really great. The light is very bright and long lasting. The strap is adjustable and fits on my head very easily and comfortably. The flashlight that came with this kit is also very bright and has a long lasting battery. I really love that the batteries are included with this kit. Each piece is very durable and made out of high quality material. You can definitely tell that all of these pieces were built to last. Another great thing about this kit is that it comes with a storage bag so you do not have to worry about losing any of the pieces. This is an amazing kit and it would definitely make for a great gift. I highly recommend this product.

This is a well thought out kit that has all the basics you would need for a hike. I myself had never used a trekking pole and thought that it would be a waste, but figured I would give it a try and was pleasantly surprised by how well it assisted in taking some load off and helping with stability. I like that it folds to be compact to fit in my backpack and can extend to the length that I need. Another item that I find very useful is the collapsible water bottle as it folds compact and I can fit it in my backpack at the end of my hike when I've finished my water. All of the items I this kit are useful to have in case of an emergency, but I will also be purchasing mo4e items to have on hand just in case, and buy extras that are in this kit for my other family members that go hiking with me. Overall I do recommend this kit as I like everything included in this kit for your basic hike.

This is a great hiking kit and comes with so many hiking essentials. Everything is well made and feels sturdy and durable. We used it for our recent hiking trip and it definitely came in handy.The trekking pole is lightweight and extendable, so it works for both mine and my husband's height. The collapsible water bottle is excellent for hiking. It's very lightweight and easy to store when you're done using it. It comes with a carbiner, so you can attach it to the outside of your backpack when you're not using it. The headlamp works great and fits comfortably. Its adjustable and has 3 different light modes and gets really bright. It's perfect for exploring caves and canyons. This kit even comes with an emergency blanket, rain poncho and a bear bell. The compasses work great and is very helpful for going off trail or if you get turned around. This is a well thought out kit and is definitely great to have on hiking trips.

This set is amazing, so if you like hiking this is for you. Like I think this is a hiking life saver. It has all the necessary items you need for hiking even a hiking blanket in case it get cold, a termo cup,hiking stick. I just love it

I just got in the mail this great 13 piece hiking kit. All elements are made of great quality material. The hikking pole extends up to 53", the canister holds uo to 24oz. The kit cones with 3 AAA batteries.

This camping kit is perfect for outdoor hiking camping fanatics. It comes with a couple of knifes a fire starter, a flashlight, batteries among other knickknacks.

This is definitely a hiking kit made for kids. It has a lot of little neat things for hiking. The water bottle is pretty neat. It's soft and can be sized up or down. The trekking stick seems to be pretty durable and is easy to fold down when not in use. It has a storage bag. The emergency poncho is a thin plastic. The emergency blanket is a thin reflective material like plastic. The whistle has a thermometer and compass on it, and a cord so you can hang it on your neck. The compass has a metal string on it, not sure what it's for. It also has a small magnifying glass. The headlamp is durable and comfortable. The headlamp strap is adjustable and there are three settings on the headlamp—press once to turn on bright, a second time to dim the light, and a third time for a flashing (blinking) light. The kit also comes with a bell, two hooks, and a metal multi-tool thing that I have no idea how to use. It's just one metal piece with multiple cutouts. The kit also comes with a bag to carry it all in. Overall, the water bottle and flashlight will probably be the most used. It's a fun little kit for kids to get them excited about the outdoors.

In the last year I've started doing some hiking, but as a newbie I definitely didn't know what kind of gear was needed, so when I saw this 13 piece hiking kit I was super excited to try it out! The kit comes with a headlamp, a compass, an emergency blanket, emergency rain poncho, a 24 oz collapsible silicone bottle (with caribbeaner), 1 lightweight aluminum tracking pool that goes from 47 to 53", 1 key chain flashlight with emergency capsule, a 4 function whistle with landyard attached, 1 bear bell with magnetic silencer, a 10-in-1 pocket multi-tool, two 6cm carabiners and 1 storage backpack to keep it all in. The headlamp uses 3 AAA batteries, which are included, and that's always nice. It has 3 modes - high, low and a flash mode. I feel like this a great set for me as a beginner because it has everything I need, it's practical and packed up easily. I'll probably take this camping as well when the weather gets nicer again. The water bottle is probably my favorite part, because it's just plain cool! I just use a bottle brush to clean it, then air dry. Overall I'm really pleased with this whole set!!

We like this hiking set but it's more for a young person. The items are pretty cheaply made and don't always work. But they do fulfill the purpose given.
