No more splotchy sunburns on scorcher days, or leaving earlier than desired, due to searing sun rays. There are tons of these sun/wind shelters on the market, but we're VERY happy with this one. You get two side windows with flaps that cover the mesh a front flap that covers the opening, all with quick %26 easy toggles. Bottom is the same material as a tarp. Comes with a carrying bag with shoulder strap. Very lightweight. All parts are durable, and with normal care, this tent could last you at least a handful of years. Setup %26 disassembly takes about 10 - 15 min. each—the more methodical you are, the smoother the process goes. ( * PRO-TIP: When rolling up to store in bag, measure out the length of the bag to match it in your folds, then roll in the same direction until you get to the end. The tarp bottom will be the last part you fold up, and the last bit should be an ACCORDION FOLD, which allows for better release of the air that would otherwise remain trapped inside the roll. Only by releasing the trapped air would you be able to slide the rolled tent back into the bag it came in. Following that, inserting the bags with the poles %26 stakes is easy, and since you have the tarp bottom on the outside of the roll, you're able to protect the nylon top portion from damage. ) I did a dry run in the living room, so I could acquaint myself with the product in the absence of complications of sun %26 wind at the beach. If you've never assembled a tent like this before, I suggest you do the same (and maybe not in your living room, but out in the yard or other open area). Highly recommended—this is a best-seller for good reason!
I love it, it works great, but the only downside is that it is not allowed at the beach i went to. They stated they only allow tents that have windows that allow to see through the whole tent. And the windows are very small on this tent. They didn't allow me to keep the tent up. But i love it. Will still keep.
The tent was great. A bit harder to set up than expected. The only downside was that there is absolutley NO WAY to fit it back into it's bag to carry it!!!! Order a separate carrying sac or be ready to stuff it in a huge bag or garbage back to transport it. Ridiculous that they can't provide a bag that it will fit in!
Perfect shelter for a beach or park day. Covered area easily fit two adults and a few kids. Set up first time in about 5 minutes with two adults, pretty self explanatory. stakes worked well to keep the shelter secured but there are attached 'sand bags' if you need more weight. The carrying case is small, like woah small, but I did manage to get the shelter rolled up and back in...just not with the stakes or supports.
It was easy to put up and take down. Provides privacy. It's the best thing to have on the beach. Very great quality. Worth every penny. I'm about to purchase another now to have at our other home for beach trips.
very easy to assemble, even at the beach with a light wind. kept the baby in the stage all day. did not fit back in case well, but worth every penny. great for small children at the beach or older person who can't take too much sun.
What I liked: it provided good shade and a safe place to store all our items when we went into the water at the beach. The material is sturdy and durable. What I disliked: The assembly was a little tricky and the instructions were not so clear to me. Thankfully, my friend was with me. She is really good at being patient and reading instructions thoroughly. Once she did, we figured out how to get it up. It is a little work-intensive, but worth it. I also didn't like that the poles you insert stick out on top. I wish they had sewn a cap in the tent to keep them in place. We kept bumping into the poles that stick out at the top and I was worried they would poke our eyes. My friend ended up getting some ties and tying the poles to some buttons on the tent. The last thing I didn't like was taking it down and cleaning it. It's definitely a 2 or 3-person job, and forget about putting it back in the original bag packaging. My friend and I were able to take the tent down but after she left I had to try and clean it by myself. I couldn't so some sand stayed in there, but oh well. Although I know my dislike section is longer, I did like it and feel it was still a good purchase.
I had the hardest time putting this together. I bought it thinking it was going to be small but it's very large. I was able to fit a travel bassinet, two low beach chairs, tons of coolers, and had a place to sit (in addition to the chairs). Without chairs, 5-6 adults can easily fit. Assembly was a bit difficult and we had a few meltdowns. It seems easy but the sticks are so long so it makes it a bit difficult to get it together.
This doesnt come with any directions whatsoever!! Not even a small index size card with pictures written in a foreign language you can look at and figure out how to assemble it!! After the irritation and exhaustion sets in from trying multiple ways of assembling it using common sense still fails... thats when one of the cheaply little poles it comes with will snap, the string holding it together will unravel 2X as fast as the last thread of patience you had left!! and you are now back to step 1 with a broken pole, no instructions, no trouble shooting guide, a suggested fix and you will no longer care about a day at the beach. All that you are going to want is a XL adult beverage and a longer than usual nap!!
The poles broke the second time I went to use it. The string in the poles ripped to shreds. It doesn't stay staked down in the sand very well either. Not happy at all.
