I am a potter and do several Art Festivals a Month. I bought my FIRST Ozark trail 2 years ago and it is still going strong. I recently took it to our beach house (Navarre Beach FL)and have now bought a second one for my shows as my family couldn't bear the thought of going to the beach without it!! I do the festivals alone and have no problem setting it up or breaking it down. Even in the dark!! It still fits into the original bag unlike ANY of the others artist's tents that take a minimum of 2 people to carry & set up/break down. If I had more room in my vehicle I would buy a bunch and sell them because after everyone sees me set up they all want one. I should be getting a commission check from Walmart for how many I have recommended. Good luck you will love this one.
All of the products I have had like this has so many poles to put together it took a long time to get them up. This one is so easy to put it up and really only takes one person. Goes up like an EZ up that I can not afford at this time! Thanks!
We havd had one of these for years, in the box but now up for the last 3 summers. I leave the frame and store the cover till summer. It is great, holds up in the strong winds we have here, I just out a steel spike down in 2 corners. I am now trying to find a replacement cover since it is faded so much from the hot sun, for 5 mos. each year.
I bought this gazebo after seeing it at a local 24/7 store. It was used out front for shade for customers to eat their food. I found that it was sold at WalMart and ordered it immediately. It came within 1 week. After reading the directions carefully, I assembled it by myself in about 5 minutes. It is attractive, and it fits perfectly on my patio. It comes with a case and it is light enough to carry and bring on a picnic or camping trip. I would certainly recommend this product to anyone.
This has been a great product so far, although I am using it a little differently than originally planned. It was super easy to set up, and I was able to do it without help. I'd planned to use it over my son's wading pool for some shade, but liked it so much that we're using it over our outdoor dining table. It provides adequate shade, and even some protection during light rain showers (it's not waterproof, but seems water resistant). The color is a pleasing and neutral olive green, and from underneath in the sunlight it has a bright leaf green color. Looks very natural. I used the stakes and it held the canopy without problem during a nasty rain storm and the subsequent flooding of our backyard. Don't think we could expect a more useful, attractive and practical item for the price.
I do local Farmer's Markets and was looking for a shade structure. I could not afford on of the more prominant brands, so I came looking on WalMart.com. This tent arrived in less time than expected, and was exactly what I was looking for! I am not easy to impress, but am VERY happy with this product! I am able to carry this to my location since it folds into a very lightweight bag, and setup is a breeze! In under 5 minutes, my shade tent is up and ready to go! I would highly recommend this to anyone doing outdoor craft fairs, farmer's markets, camping, etc. This was a great buy!
Too bad they discontinued this item. This is the best canopy that I've seen. It is light, easy to set up, and it's not flimpsy at all. It's the perfect fit for casual use at the beach and for a one-person to handle. The rest of the other canopies are either too flimpsy or too heavy. I wish they bring this back because I will definitely buy two.
I purchased this gazebo to replace the large 12x12 one I have that weighs well over 40 pounds and is just too difficult for me to set up on my own when I go camping by myself. Though this product states 2 people are recommended to set this up, it can easily be done by one person. I'm an above knee amputee and set it up literally in minutes by myself. The directions were clear and are sewn right inside the bag so you can't lose them. The 12x12 gazebo this is replacing weighs nearly twice as much, but that also means that the frame is twice as strong as this one, so this one won't withstand continually strong winds well. I am confident that it can withstand a moderately breezy day without concern though. With the guy lines attached it will make it that much more secure. It's definitely not intended to be kept up for an entire season. The stakes that come with this are a joke and seem more like large paper clips than stakes. Do yourself a favor and get good solid ones that won't bend the first time you use your mallet. The gazebo top is simply tent material that slips on over the 2 shockcorded poles that fit into the frame. It is not very heavy, but will do the job as far as creating some shade. The instructions say it is water resistant, but not waterproof. I used a waterproofing spray on mine and it absorbed it quickly, though it dried kind of unevenly. It hasn't rained yet since I first used it, so I'm not sure how that will work out. If nothing else at least I can cook up something quick on my stove when it's raining without getting drenched. The only major difficulty I encountered was when I took it down. The top and poles came off effortlessly, but folding the frame down was not so easy. My thumbs were killing me as I was pressing in on the spring-loaded button to get it to release. It just wouldn't. Simply through frustrating trial and error, I discovered that when you keep your foot on the lip of the bottom of the leg and then release with your thumb while pulling upward it releases quickly without much effort. The directions did not tell me that and for a while I thought I might not be able to get it to release. I was able to easily get this back in the carry bag - I just made sure I looked at how it was packaged in the first place and got it in the first time with no problems. Overall, for the money it's a nice little gazebo. It's compact, easy to set up even for one person, inexpensive, functional and attractive.
I bought this for my husbands 30th surprise party so people could find relief from the sun. I didn't really think that we would use it a ton but we have. We bring it to my in-laws to use out by the pool. We have used it a number of times for the kids sporting events and friends & family are always borrowing it. My favorite use for it is when I use it in the yard...sometimes I bring the babies that I babysit outside to watch the bigger kids play. That is when I love the way that you can have one side down lower than the other, it provides better and longer shade that way. The only problem that I have had is two of the tips broke off of the tent poles and now they are sharp.
I bought this item two years ago and used it maybe 10 times. It was stored in my garage the rest of the time away from moisture and heat. I tried using it last month for my daughter's birthday, and the parts that connect the top to the frame all broke off! The top is in perfect condition, and the frame does not even have a scratch. I don't recomend this to anyone who is looking for a bargain. You're better off paying a little more and getting something that will last.
