Ozark Trail Baitcast Combo

I have several high end baitcasters and bought the OT Gen 2 just to try it out and see how it stacks up. It performs extremely well and I have been using it for about 6 months now. No issues whatsoever. Casts and retrieves great and the 2 piece rod is solid. Have caught numerous 2-4 lb bass on it and it performs well. Would recommend to anyone looking for good quality and cheap combo.

great setup for the price, I actually own 4 ozark trail baitcasters that I would put up against any other cheaper model reel but one thing I wish I would have known, was that the rod was a 2 piece. besides that, I easily give 5/5

As someone who was worried about getting a bait caster. Having this and a couple of YouTube videos I'm having fun with my friends using it and will probably teach them with it as well.

Tested it at my local pond throwing top water frogs. Caught a good 3 pounder. No complaints, really good quality for the price

I've had this bait caster for a few months and loaded with a 30lb braided fishing line. For it being an economical combo reel. I am highly satisfied with it. Smooth gears and breaking. This great for a beginner or intermediate angler. I still from time to time get some bird nest but nothing too horrible. I've caught some bass and reeling them in has been a breeze.

This is try number two at this Ozark trail combo and it's aslo a dud. Although the first one I ordered online and picked up at my local Walmart, I gave it a quick looking over before accepting and I thought I was good to go, when I getting ready to add line I noticed it was missing the adjustment knob for the spool. So the next one I went and picked up in person, This one seemed to be all good but after I added line to it started to tune on it but it won't let line out. I am no stranger to bait casters and I couldn't get it working. It spooled up ok but that's all. So back it goes, I will not try a third. So take what you want out of my review.

The pole snapped as soon as i set the hook and it wouldn't real the line in and the drag would not tighten
