You get your moneys worth. I shopped everywhere and the Ozark Trail Crate Rod Holder from Walmart is the best quality and reasonably priced. I purchased two of them and installed them on my kayak crate. Not only do you get the rod holder and installation hardware, but it also come with a bungee cord to securely hold your fishing rod from falling out on rough waters.

We bought these to hold a flashlight and an umbrella in our camper. We liked them so much, that we bought the 2 extra ones for the shed at the camper fir fishing poles too. Super easy to install and mount them to the wall.

Don't buy an expensive crate for your kayak, just go around back of your local Walmart and "liberate" an old milk crate. Go inside, grab one or two of these, and you've got yourself a setup every bit as good as the commercial options.

i was going to make one using pvc pipe than found this. for the cost and time saved it was worth it. mounted it on my folding bike.
