Ozark Trail LED 400 Lumens Headlamp

I finally got one that is rechargeable because I hate having to constantly replace the batteries on my other one. This one is super bright and has 2 brightness settings for the spot as well as the flood. The flood light also has a red mode which is nice for when you want just barely any light. Headband is comfortable and adjustable. Recharges with micro usb.

Engineering is the art of the compromise. What do you want and how much are you willing to pay and engineers can create the best product within your means. They need to know what's important to you to determine best product. This headlamp checked all my boxes. Options from 400 lumen to 10. As much as I need and as little as I want. Red is a personal must have. I prefer low light after dark. 400 lumens is for walking through forest at night. I'll rarely use it. Switches are easy to access and have a tactile response. The light pivots down to help when working on horizontal surfaces. The headband is comfortable with a traction pad for the forehead. It doesn't feel heavy when worn. The packaging makes no waterproof or water resistant claims. Construction looks water resistant with a screwed on back plate. On the bottom is a USB-micro port with a rubber cap. Not submersible, but probably fine in the rain.

Ozark Trail 400 Lumen Rechargeable Headlamp ... Comes in package with 1” wide adjustable stretch headband, a 42” Micro-USB charging cable (no power unit), and an instruction sheet with diagrams. The headlamp and headband together weigh 2.7 ounces / 77 grams. The headlamp worked right out of the box, but the charge indicator showed red when first attached to my PC USB port. The charge indicator showed green in less than an hour, meaning fully charged for the first time. The instruction sheet notes that it will recharge faster if attached to a wall adapter. The high spot is very BRIGHT, and the low flood is dim enough to sleep with all night long. The low spot and high flood fill in between as expected. According to the package, the low flood should last 37 hours on a full charge. The RED flood light is not bright, but is an interesting option. All five modes are lit solid, none are flashing. The headband attachment points either forward or downward at one fixed angle. This is a very nice headlamp ... built sturdy and simple to use ... I like it a lot!

I'd borrowed my son's to do some night time star photography. I ordered one for myself the next day. It is a great product - durable, comfortable, several lighting options built in. The big plus for me is the red LED so I can make camera adjustments w/o shutting down my pupils. The main light is surprisingly powerful especially for its size. I also used it to walk on a trail to get to where I was setting up. Would also be good for working on a car in the dark.

Blown away by this awesome headlamp. I have a cheap 200lumen one that does basically the same things, thought using rechargable batteries would help but the light dies after an hour or so(the old headlamp). this bad boy is incredible. the spotlight on high is incredible,fits perfect and the best part is being able to directly recharge it. I'm a service plumber and this lamp is gonna be one of my most used and prized possessions. 5 stars all day. $23 you can't even come close to beating that.

What I love most about this headlamp is that is not only is it an LED light, but you can charge it and not have to worry about purchasing batteries for it. I have had other headlamps where batteries were necessary, but I prefer this one more!The light is EXTREMELY powerful and great on how long the light stays on. It has many settings with regards to the lighting on the actual headlamp itself. This is a perfect headlamp and I use it all the time in dark places to find things. It is a WONDERFUL gift for anyone in construction, hiking, etc.

This forehead light give you lots of bright light at different intensity modes of the main center and side lights. It easily charges using the micro USB enclosed, and uses the same micro USB as used with some cell phones. Putting the light on the head strap took a little experimenting, but was easily figured out. Please read the enclosed instructions, as it explains how to get the red LED (long press), as at first thought mine didn't work. Instructions also show the aim light tilt feature, which I did not understand without instruction reading. The head strap is adjustable and easily holds up the weight of the light. Adjusting the light features can easily be done by touch while it's on your head. I can see so many applications for this little device, from working on your car in a dim garage, to use during power outages or spelunking! I highly recommend this product due to its ease of use, bright light and portability. The addition of a small carry pouch would enhance this product. The package information is written in English and Spanish, while the enclosed instructions are in English only. This product was made in China.

This Ozark Trail HeadLamp is extremely convenient when you need to work on something where your hands are occupied and unable to hold a flashlight. It's also great for the outdoorsman who likes camping or hiking. It rests easier on your head once you adjust the strap to fit properly. The lamp is quite bright and illuminates a good distance. It also has has different lights with one red that flashes if you need to be found in an emergency. The best part is the batteries are rechargeable with any USB port, what could be easier than that.

After getting tired of having to frequently replace batteries in the first headlamps we tried, we purchased two of these rechargeable ones. We were so happy with them, we recently ordered two more. Unfortunately, even though these appeared identical to the first two that are still wonderful, the two new ones both get so hot when used that you can't keep them on. Knowing that some lithium-ion batteries can get so hot they explode, we've gotten fearful enough that we have to take them back. Since the first two continue to work well, we're tempted to just ask for replacements, not refunds. Haven't decided yet whether or not we want to chance trying again with replacements.

My husband and I bought two of these back in 2017 before they disappeared off the shelves. My husband us a contractor and uses these pretty much every day. The batteries have a shorter life but thats to be expected. We have loved these headlights and no others have even compared. Fast forward to 2020. His brother see them in Walmart and buys three knowing how great they've been for us. We also bought one a couple months later. My husband immediately said something wasn't right about the battery life. It's been a couple months and our 2020 light has died for good and 2/3 of his brothers have died with the third acting up. The price went up and the quality went down TREMENDOUSLY. Definitely a waste of money and time for 2020 headlights .
