These were a great find for me. I needed a winter boot for my son that would work in both rain %26 snow and keep his feet warm enough through a Midwest winter. These have been perfect, they are still in perfect condition after almost daily wear for the past few months and he says they are comfortable. They fit true to size and are such good value for the price.
i just received these shoes and they appear to be very nice. nice design, thick soles, and good quality. I will know if this is true after they get worn a few times.
Bought these for my two grandsons for a trip camping. They worked great and the cactus didn't penetrate the soles.
These are cute boots. We haven't tested them outdoors yet so I'm hoping they will hold up well for occasional recreational use. They weren't as roomy as I was hoping for I wanted more room for my child to wear thick boot socks and still have wiggle room. With boot socks these may be snug. If you are planning on wearing these with shorter socks my child complained that they were rubbing against their ankles uncomfortably. I ordered one of the “brown” options because there were two and they both had the same picture I figured it was a glitch and it didn't make a difference which one I chose. Well I received a completely different looking boot! I thought I was ordering the brown, black and tan option like the photo but instead received a orangey brown boot with mostly purplish red fabric and laces. Luckily I was buying these for my daughter because for some reason Ozark Trail doesn't make hiking boots for girls?! So I'm actually happy that I received a purplish maroon sort of color but if I was purchasing for my son he probably wouldn't like that color very much. It's still gender neutral just not the same as the product photo. Update the website with the correct photo please! Maybe next season Ozark Trail will actually release girl's hiking boots. They have only boy's, men's and women's but no options if you'd prefer something “girly”. My daughter loves “girly” stuff so I'm glad these had a little pop of color just didn't match the photo so be careful when ordering.
My son has not worn these yet but right off the bat, I can tell you that these are different from the Ozark trail hiking boots we have ordered in the past. We have 4 pairs from him wearing them over the years and all have much better tread on the bottom. These ones seem very flat and I'm concerned they aren't as grippy as the ones previous. Overall, he says the fit is good but I hope the tread on the bottom of the shoes won't be an issue.
These boots were returned. They seemed a good value. They were really wide and could not tighten them enough to fit my son's feet. They looked much better online than in person; even if they had fit I'm not sure we would have kept them.
The show looks good. However the threads and the seems started showing wear after 8 hours of being worn to school. For a play shoe outaide it will work for a litle while.
The edges of the material was fraying after being worn for only one day. The material started cracking and falling apart after only wearing for a month, they are 3 months old and cracked so bad dirt, rocks, and snow gets in the shoe, and it is separating from the sole of the shoe. My son loved the boot style and fit, but they just don't hold up.
Item is not what is described unless they sent me the wrong thing. The boots we received were Brown and a pink magenta. Disappointed for sure! Other than the color, the quality seems good for clearance of $17
I ordered the boots in Brown, but the boots I received did not look like the picture that was shown for Brown. Instead, they have a reddish-purplish color.
