Traveling Soles!!

coconspiriter June 30, 2021

I am horrible with shoes! I need to be Extremely picky when I shop for them as usually a month or less I somehow break them wear them down or or just too uncomfortable to continue using. I am overweight working two jobs 7 days a week while taking the bus between them and shopping or just running errands so I need something that lasts and is livable. it's been a few years since I tried Ozark shoes but am I glad I went for these! First off the soles are very soft which usually by now about 3 weeks in they would be like a "c" students test eraser, down to the nub! There seems to be no loss from my travels and we just moved so they were put through their paces and then some!! Second thing is the inside is very nice and my feet loved them the first week until I was working my P/T job at a store. By the end of the shift I wasn't sure if I could make it to my bus. I religiously get insoles for each of my shoes when I get new ones but waited to see if my feet would hold up in them first. I don't see this as a failing on the shoes part as again I'm 5'6" 225 and was amazed they worked for the buss travels and office job but wasn't enough for my physically demanding job. I am usually wary at this point but feel confident these shoes will carry my for some more time to come

these might be better in the winter.

FastEddy June 25, 2021

I'm not sure if they are made of rubber or plastic. They didn't come in a box, so I have no info on them. I did wear them on 2 5mile walks my feet didn't hurt but they were hot. the tread on them should be helpful on the ice in winter. They seem to be well-built, but time will tell.

Great shoes for hiking trails or pavement

BadNarc June 27, 2021

At 75 years old I've always been an avid outdoorsman, spend a lot of time running, cycling, or hiking. Lately have turned more towards hiking and hike 6 miles every morning after 30 minutes of inside floor exercises. My trail takes me out of a paved subdivision, down a paved road to a JUCO with a trail surrounding the JUCO that is wooded. Liked the looks of these Ozark Trail shoes and decided to give them a try. No breaking in needed, simply paired them with a pair of thick, cushioned cotton socks I also got at Walmart, laced them on, and hiked my morning 6 miles with them. The shoes were excellent, very comfortable, and left my feet fresh after the workout. I am immediately replacing my more expensive hiking shoes with the Ozark Trail shoes, they are comfortable on paved sidewalks and roads as well as on rough terrain I encounter on my hiking trails. They are very inexpensive, my other hiking shoes cost 5 times the price of these Ozark Trail shoes. Would recommend these shoes to anyone wanting a smooth, comfortable workout in the great outdoors!

one last hope....

jo October 7, 2023

after multiple neck %26 back surgeries, I'm back to daily exercise. i walk everyday. my feet, legs, back... everything hurt. i was buying running or cross training shoes that would breakdown after a few weeks. i bought these and didn't expect them to be lighter, stronger, %26 more comfortable.

We have bought dozens of these shoes in the past few years for our clients. Something has changed now because the last dozen we bought have felt plastic like and the sides of the shoes are breaking out and away from the souls. We are going to have to look somewhere else for shoes for the homes. So sad to see a good product go bad because of cheapening the manufacturing materials used.

Surprisingly comfortable.

Mikey June 24, 2021

Considering that Ozark Trail isn't considered a high-end shoe, these are surprisingly comfortable. Every bit as comfortable as the Merrell and Timberland shoes I have. Actually, these Ozark Trail shoes are *more* comfortable than my Merrells. I am a solid size 11, sometimes a bit wide for regular shoes and most times wide shoes are a bit loose. These 11-regulars are comfortable. No break-in required. No weird pressure points that start hurting after a while. I've worn them for several days exclusively and I typically forget I have them on. That speaks well of any shoe, really. They look good. Plenty of tread on the soles. I can't speak for their longevity as I've only worn them for about a week. Haven't seen any unusual wear in the regular spots, though. The included images are taken right at the time this review was written.

good shoes for the price

aunoTrovago June 22, 2021

These shoes are a good value. They're durable, reasonably comfortable, and well made. Real leather shoes will last longer, but then, they would cost a lot more. There is no arch support to speak of but that's not really a problem for me unless I'm going to be walking all day. In that case I use inserts. All in all, these shoes are rugged and look good.

Broke after two months of occasional use.

Mateusz October 2, 2022

Shoes are comfortable. Soft sole and decent lining inside. Sadly new pair I bought has no real leather anywhere. New synthetic material is not durable. Cracked along lines where it needs to flex while walking. Also separated from the sole making these barely used shoes trash. Not recommended to purchase due to terrible durability

good fitting, comfortable and stylish!

Anonymous June 26, 2021

I took the size 8 number shoe and it fitting me perfectly. I really liked the color combination used on the shoe. The color combination together with the design pattern makes the shoe look very stylish. I also liked that the shoe is very comfortable. The sole of the shoe is around a inch but is light weight. The sole has a good grip and excellent for hiking, biking or any outdoor activities. It is non slip and provide good grip when walking in a trail uphill. I also liked that there is a layer of cushion padded inside the shoe that provide the comfortless even if wore it without socks. The lace of the shoe is good size; it is long enough to tie it around the ankle. I wore it two times so far and wore it mainly to walk on the trail near by when the weather was good. However, based on the usage so far I can tell that this is a very good shoe and will last long. I would recommend it to others who are looking for a trail shoe!

Sadly Disappointed :-(

LBeans October 6, 2021

I'm sorry to provide a poor review for these hikers. I ordered them online and I really wanted to like them. Upon arrival I found the materials to be plastically and they seemed cheap and highly-petroleum based. Though I ordered my correct shoe size, the fit was sloppy, arch support was non existent, and the insole was flimsy and did not supply adequate comfort. Sorry Walmart, I wanted to like these, but back they went for a full refund which the store graciously provided.
