Some background: not a hiker, but grew up wearing boots alot and walk alot for a living and in general. These shoes are good and sturdy. I saw on sale and tried on in store. Normally i do about 10, this ran better on 9 half for me and i have wider feet usually. It comes with mem foam inserts, decent ones tho i find the dr scholls work ones with gel are better for impact and longer term as replacement. Its abit tall, about an inch or inch half of platform. the laces are good tho need to lace tight or with good knot, it can loosen abit easily. The inside is comfortable tho need to break in for a day or two. the top feels more caved and shaped, tho not like metal strong. part of the waterproofing but does offer abit of protection from minor impacts. While it does protect better and keep water out, also keeps heat in and more likely to end up with sweaty feet and socks than with sneakers. Gotten quite a few compliments on it, tho was unsure at first for the style. They are abit big looking, tho could just be how looks on me, to be fair. Tight abit once laced, can get off with some struggle tho sliding on is a feat, better to get use to unlacing and lacing. This is all based on urban setting, rather than outdoors. It handles uneven angles rather well and have longer treads in them, so you get good grip constantly and rolls with you rather well. overall, if you can handle the heat being more trapped in than usual or looking for a sturdy shoe for occasions, def wouldnt pass up this one
These shoes were one of the best deals I have gotten in a very long time! They were on clearance for only $14! They look very nice, the colors of the shoe look great! They also fit perfect %26 are so comfortable because they have nice memory foam soles! I highly recommend these shoes, they are too good of a deal to pass up!
Ordered these for a college student needing a pair of water proof shoes for rainy days. They work well for that purpose and were priced really well for shoes that aren't going to be worn very often. College kiddo said they looked good and he was happy with their performance.
These hiking shoes are built like a tank on the outside, but they're like limousines for the feet on the inside! After reading some of the reviews, I personally don't see how anyone could possibly wear out the outsoles of these shoes in one day!!! The shoes are very well made, tough, durable and the weight of the shoes are just a little heavy but they don't weigh me down. The sizing is just a bit off, but it provides room for some thick winter socks. The extra 1/4 inch of extra room in the shoes was barely noticeable and they felt very comfortable to walk around in for hours regardless of the terrain. Personally, I like the rugged design of the shoes and I kinda like the Harley Davidson color way with the gray, black and orange. If they were “high tops”, I'd wear them when I'm riding my motorcycle for sure because of the non-slip soles, great support and stability. More bang for the buck, no doubt! I highly recommend these shoes, hands down!!! Did I mention the very affordable price?!?
I received two shoes one made for the right foot and another for the left foot. Someone had put the laces in the eyelet and that was a big help to me.the laces look pretty doggone strong and set the shoes off to an advantage. they were ( the shoes that is ) crisp and clean and I really like the color scheme. The shoes fit my feet and felt pretty dad-gum good on my feet.So if you're a needin a pair of shoes give these a tre.
Surprised how comfortable but everyone is different. Tried some Merrells and Salomon's from another store and found some of the Merrells were uncomfortable. Liked the Gor Tex Salomon's and was going to order for about $120 but had to try these Ozarks for the price. Wanted some waterproof shoes for birding in the weather. Wore them only once so far but for many hours straight and only thought they were a bit warm but expected that and prefer over getting soaked feet when getting caught in the rain.
This shoe appears to be a good quality shoe, a bit bulky and heavy but I'm assuming it's because its for hiking. Although I didn't buy for hiking, I was looking for an inexpensive quality shoe that is waterproof and comfortable and so far this shoe check all the boxes. I do a LOT of walking, 10 miles a day 6-7 days a week and my soles on my other shoes were wearing out fast. Hopefully this shoe will last much longer. Caught these on sale $16 and some change, can't beat that. Happy with the purchase so far.
Comfortable, true to size. Waterproof. A little heavy but not too much. Feels like a boot without the high top. I would point out that the sole is thick / high, almost feels like you're raised up on a platform. Can affect stability. If you lean a little to either side you could lose balance. I would recommend to purchase especially at the sale price. I use these for yard work not for hiking. Will see if they last. Don't have other hiking shoes to compare to.
I dislike ordering shoes online but decided to take a shot due to the fact I am unable to shop in person very well. I took the advice of ordering a bit bigger than needed but in the long run I didn't need too. I'm a female who orders men's footwear because I need the width. With these shoes, the width is perfect. I ordered a 1/2 size bigger when I really shouldn't have. They are still wearable but due to the fact they are too big for me (length-wise) my feet look gigantic. I will give them a try the next time I go out and see if it's too much of an issue for me. If it is, no big deal as I have daughters who would love to be gifted them. It's a plus they are waterproof.
Wasn't as comfortable as I thought. I couldn't wear it more than hour. Quite sure those with non arch issues wouldn't mind, but I need something that's wide in the front and foam arch support. I ended up giving it away. It is a nice looking shoe, just not for me.
